Why did you alter my signature?

I received a rather curious add-on to my signature that said something like "change your avatar please" in obnoxiously bad handwriting...

two questions immediately come to mind:

1) why couldn't this be private messaged, rather than editing my User CP?

2) what in God's name is wrong with my avatar?
