On our last offensive drive he was getting sacked but threw the ball away and the clock stopped. I am pretty sure we ran the ball the next play?
Why not take the sack and let the clock run?

Because we were attempting to get the first down and Philbin got "queasy" at the last second and decided to run it instead.

so going for it on 4th and goal is considered conservative? I believe the dolphins are top 3 for 4th down attempts...
Cause we have been getting blown out or been down late in 4th qtrs.. the time to not get conservative he does it lol i mean over 2:30 to go isn't enough for Rodgers to score you know. Trust your damn Qb ffs

According to Philbin, Lazor, and Tannehill, the marching orders on 2nd down were to try to get a first down. Philbin 'got queasy' (his own words) and then changed his mind to run clock on 3rd down. Tannehill said, when asked about it, that he was going for a first down on that series and that 3rd and 9 was better than 3rd and 19.

Here is the coaches' film of the play in question: https://pbs.twimg.com/tweet_video/B0ATlGFCQAApy86.mp4

Miami going for it on 4th and goal was in the first half.

edit: and GB is number 1 in 4th down attempts, followed by cincy, and the cowboys are tied with Miami. does that excuse of being down in the 4th apply to them as well?

watching coaches press conferences will answer a lot of questions

Philbin does not trust tannehill easy as that. Want to talk about the bills game and how conservative he was?

Because one of Tannehill's biggest issues is situational awareness. He is getting better at accuracy lately and hopefully that continues. He seems to be, and I'm really hoping here based on just a few plays, but he seems to be maybe developing some pocket awareness at times compared to past years. But as far as thinking on his feet during a play, he is at the bottom of the barrel. I think that limits some of what they try to do. He even frigs up the read option sometimes.

Because he, Philbin, and 52 players on the team stink remember?

Would many QBs take a sack there? I'd think they'd try and run for a few yards if anything.

that makes no sense, and you have absolutely no proof of that. The buffalo game had less to do with tannehill, and more with receivers dropping passes, and the whole offense was pretty incompetent.

Seriously?? Another thread created trying to find the 400th different way to bring up the same exact thing being said over and over and over.....

We had 50 other plays in that game, are we seriously going to have a thread started over all of them? EVERY game of EVERY team has bad plays and the only reason we are hearing all of this is because we lost. It's just so stupid to start all of these threads to point out something that has been said so many times it's exhausting. MOVE ON!!!

Yeah, and how did that work out?

In that case, he should have kicked the FG. Then later at the end of the first half he didn't go for it when he should have. He did everything wrong in that game...the guy is an idiot.
