Don't know if any of you guys were thinking the same thing, but there was about one minute left with a full set of downs at the goalline, and once again, we did not run the ball once.

I couldn't believe we were going to do it again. We were going to come down to the goalline for the win and have someone who isnt that great at QB throwing the ball instead of giving it to our best offensive weapons. There was certainly enough time to run on downs, maybe even twice.

Thank God Chambers caught it is all I have to say.
Because thats the third time Linehan has done that in this very situation this season.

Anyone else know what I am talking about?

So whats new? Sage was good enough to win the game....thats good enough for me.

That's Linehan for you, I sure did have the same thought, why not run it a couple of times.

I thought that same thing. Just like the Falcons game...we should have called four running plays and pounded that thing in there. We really need a "hurry-up" run plan in place.

Totally agree.

I was saying the same damn thing.

We won today and it's a glorious thing, but we should have run the ball in from the one.

I won't question it because we won, but if we get in the same situation next week I want to see us pound it in.

I'll take this one though. Man this was a great win....

BTW - did anyone see the welker infraction on the second to last play. Great catch by Welker and I don't think he was ever out of bounds. we got robbed on that play.Anyone see whether Welker indeed did step out of bounds?

Ditto. I think Linehan is so pass happy that he loves when the other team score first and often.

Ya just like the Pats game too..

Questionable play calling, but whatever works...well wait a minute... I guess I can't really say that with much confidence.

In a sense we got a little lucky, considering we scored on 4th down. I jsut don't see why we didn't pound it either.

They didn't want to lose a down by spiking the ball if they didn't get in the endzone.

if Chambers doesn't catch that pass, Linehan would have a line of people outside his house with torches and pitchforks. If Chambers doesn't catch it, Linehan loses his job at the end of the season.

I don't think you have to spike the ball. Run it off tackle, run it off guard, run it off the other tackle and it takes about 45 seconds...if you ever have to run that many plays. An outside run down close can be good too...but that takes more time to line back up. If you do that, you might have to spike it and huddle.

I wanted us to run it too. The only thing I can say in his defense was that even throwing it and the incompletions we only had 6 seconds left when we scored the final td. If we had run it I dont think we would have had that many shots.

Yea specially on 3rd on 3....RUN IT, you know your going for it on 4th down.
I was going NUTS. But alas Chambers comes through in the clutch :D
