Why didn't they throw Henne in with 8 mins left in the game like they did the AZ game

I'm sure Penny will still start but it's about time we see someone with arm strength leading us down the field..
 
He was inactive…3rd behind White; could only play if Penne got hurt

oh I thought you could play him at any time just that the 2 QBs ahead of him couldn't go back in the game.
 
Henne was probably designated as the emergency QB so I believe he could have played but if he goes in before the 4th quarter, no other QB can come in.
 
I was furious when they brought in Chad for that last drive. Why bring him in? So he can score some worthless TD to save some pride? If we have no chance of winning a game then I want Henne in there.
 
So you think Henne's strong arm would have helped with Jake Long getting bullrushed by John Abraham play after play? Or helped Fasano not put the ball on the ground twice? I have to admit that after a certain point in the game I wanted to see Henne. I also have to admit that I didn't enjoy Pat White being in there.

But we need to recognzie the inherent problems with our team that are going to affect whoever is at QB.
 
I was wondering the same.

I was also pissed that we didnt try for the 2 point conversion (not that we had a realistic shot of coming back at that time), because we could technically have only needed 1 more TD and 2 point conversion and a FG instead of needing 3 TDs.

When they kicked the extra point I figured they just gave up and wondered why they didnt put Henne in if that was the case.

Frankly, our entire offense sucked. I feel dirty for having such high hopes for them this offseason, but the realization is that we just dont have playmakers on offense.

Atlanta's D isnt that good, our offense is just THAT bad. (At least they were today) Hopefully they fix this stuff soon, cause it is going to be a long season if we keep playing like that.

I expected our secondary to be worst, they were a pleasant surprise today. Merling had some nice plays as well.

Other than that I felt like I was watching a preseason game.

My gut is also telling me the Pat White thing was a huge mistake :(
 
Because even though the game was decided Pennington still needed to find some rhythm with the offense and get it right for next week.
 
Yea gotta love deactivating Henne for Pat White who seems no where near ready to play at this level.
 
He only was in two plays. He is freaking nervous man! He seen the man open down field but he just overthrew him. I do not keep up with the Dolphins but I bet he never plays QB with the 1st team.

why not? if he didnt overthrow that pass its a TD and your eating crow. Henne has horrible footwork he cannot run wildcat plays like white. What is wrong with white getting in for those kinds of plays? he did not do anything that hurt us today.

this whole thread is irrelevent. Sure it'd be good to get Henne some reps if he is surely our future QB, but idk what the front office is planning right now, and no matter what some henne fanboys (not saying u guys are u just wanted some reps for him, but they are crawling all over FH right now) what some henne fanboys say, Henne would have had no impact on this game different than penny. Henne might have even been planted more or thrown one more INT. with an o-line like that u cannot do nething i dont are who u are.

Well dont overthrow the pass and maybe we do something. White has shown nothing that should get him playing time at this point while we could have got Henne some reps in a real game.
