As you acknowledge, you don't consider going for 2 until about 5 minutes left in the game. That's why the team kicked the PAT.
Very good point, it was 2003 though I believe. If we only kicked the extra point and not gone for the two, we wouldn't have lost that game and we would have made playoffs.
