Why do so many people think we throw the season if we start Moore?

I just don't think it's unreasonable to expect the highest paid back-up in the league to play well when called upon. but hey, it was cold and windy... anyone would throw 2 INT's in 6 passes when it's cold and windy

Cold Windy Rainy ..... actually he didn't come in until the 11min mark of the 4th quarter. It didn't matter what QB was playing behind that day.

It's funny how much you "expect" given the conditions and how little you expect your of your messiah after 35 games. Please tell me more.

you have confused me with someone else. I have been calling Moore a scrub since before we drafted Tannehill

Making believe that anyone has called Tannehill the " messiah" is childish and stupid.

If understand you right, you are saying that no Qb was going to win in buffalo with the conditions are they were?

if moore is a scrub, he certainly is not the only qb on our roster who is one.

being drafted 8th overall does not mean u have potential, the dolphins just blew another draft pick on some bum, what is new.

if he was drafted in the 4th 5th round and playing like he has as a dolphin, u would be saying how this guy is garbage and we need a new qb asap.

However, since he has that 1st round 8th overall label on him, lets give him more time because he must have potential.

The fact that Tannehill is playing terrible and could be a bust has nothing to do with the reality that Matt Moore sucks.

he may suck, but hes not worse than tannehill.

please tell me what would happen if tannehill were to go down with an injury, how our offense would suffer?

with most teams, the ones that have a good starting qb, there offense would take a major step back.

on this team, considering the offense has done **** with this qb at the helm, this offense would not suffer one bit. there is nothing really that tannehill does awesome that moore can not do.

moore may very well be a scrub, but tannehill is not exactly noticeably better, and the scoreboard on a weekly basis reflects that

No but the game was a lost cause and he did throw the best ball of the day. I'm not glossing over what Moores done - I'm looking at last 10 real games and saying he did well. The whole point of my thread was to question how we cede the season by playing him when our QB right now is doing next to nothing to help the offense. In older times, ineffective guys would be sat down for a game or two - I guess in today's NFL few coaches want to deal w a QB controversy. Think strock and Woodley - neither was a franchise QB. But in '81 and '82 Shula had no problem going to Strock when the O needed a lift - and that led to a division title in '81 and a SB berth in '82. I guess I just don't believe in the "he shouldn't come off the field" philosophy with starters unless they are truly elite.

This is bang on. I don't see the downside in giving Moore a game. Remember Woodstrock? Got us a division title in '81 and a SB berth in '82. Coaches have no balls anymore.

He started off rough but was strong enough down the stretch. I don't think he's a scrub and I don't think he's a pro bowler. If just like to see him get a game. The guys who played with him that year thought enough of his play to vote him team MVP.

This is a very good point. Ryan has had 2 chances to win that award but hasn't done it yet. Makes you wonder how he perceived in the locker room by other players. Especially the defensive players.

for all they bash moore for, tannehill has never had as good of a stretch as moore has had.

tannehill has 1 good game followed by 2 stinkers, than 1 mediocre one, followed by another few stinkers.

the guy also should be held to much higher expectations since he was drafted 8th overall.

i really hope philbin has the balls to bench tannehill in the 1st half if he comes puts up a stinker.

im tired of having one of the best deep threat weapons in the nfl on our team, yet not being able to use him at all to what he does best.
