Why do the Fins always get rid of the best players?

Why do the Dolphins always get rid of the best players they have? They have did it for years now and I don't get it at all.

Patrick Surtain was great. Why not pay him? He was a top 5 CB at the time.

Chris Chambers is the best WR they have had for years now. Why not keep him? They had no one better at the time and still don't.

Wes Welker. Pay him for gods sake. He is very good and deserves to earn big money. He is killing us now.

Zach Thomas. I don't care what people say about him. He was still a very good LB with they ditched him.

Heath Evans. Very good player.

I know there are a few more but that is the ones that I can think of off the top of my head.
 
Look who was running the team at the time. That should explain why. Mueller and Speilman= franchise killers

Honestly, if you look at what Sparano inherited, he and the F.O. (besides the glaring wideout debacle) have done a pretty damn good job.

I've said it a million times. All the head coaching changes is what has really caused much of this. New guys and regimes come in and they dump players that don't "fit" their individual schemes.
 
And we lost Welker cause he wasnt tendered high enough as a free agent... He should have been signed before hitting hte market but Nicky had already decided he was leaving.
 
It's just seems to me it happens no matter who is running the team.

Wouldn't surprise me to see them trade Ricky or Ronnie this offseason.
 
Look at what they did afterwards. What did ZT do once he left the Dolphins? I'll tell you what. Nothing. Where is ZT playing today?

How much did he help KC? He didn't. Where is he playing today?

Eavans isn't a game breaker. He's going to fit here or there, as is Welker. If you want perfection, think about when you flip your burgers or some such. I know you miss putting the dehydrated onions on the patties sometimes. That's the best way I can describe it to you.

Welker had fanatasies of being a Patriot when he was on the Dolphins. It escapes me why people idolize him still.
 
Yes, we need John Beck, Ndukwe, and Lorenzo Booker back. That's why we are losing. We lost all of our stars.

Dude. I almost always agree with you, but Welker is an all pro at this point and we let him walk.

**** Judas Welker. **** him every day and all the time. I happen to love Bryan Cox. He played for the Patriots too, but, he never, ever betrayed any team like Welker.

No, we traded him for a 2nd round pick if I am not mistaken. Realistically, do you think that he would have been an All Pro with the Dolphins if he had stayed?
