Why do we have Daunte sitting on the pocket, we need to start running the ball more..

It has been proven in the past with our team that if we design roll plays for the quarterback even though he is mobile there will be more offensive power. The play calling needs to change if we want to win another game.


a) We have Daunte sitting on the pocket taking major sacks. Half of the defensive coordinators will blitz on us knowing that we block horrible and we sit our player on the pocket. If I wasn't mistaken, the titans were having offensive line troubles a couple of years ago and Steve Mcnair managed to make lots of plays by moving around.

b) We need to start handing off the ball to Ronnie Brown more often to leave some stress out of Daunte. He can't be on his face half of the time and if we pound the Rock for over 30 times a game then we will see that we can tire our defenses.


Overall, our play calling is so horrible as our offensive blocking.


For all of you guys who think Dante sucks then look at his stats today with a horrible line. Throughout in this process I thank Dante for handling himself like a professional instead of blasting the staff in public.

Agreed. It's amazing how the average fan just says the solution is bench Cpep, as if Harrington starting behind this oline with the same stupid play calling would matter.

The offense has alot of problems and they're not even close to ALL Daunte's fault. I think people hear something on the radio/TV/broadcast and draw conclusions without watching the game closely.

If we get rid of Mularkey it is still going to be the same problem. Just another OC to get used to messing up the continuity of the team. I wish we could have kept Scott last year but we can't.

We should be running the ball more, but we loose that dimension of the game when we're behind 11 points in the 4th quarter.

Also some of the sacks came from the middle of the line, When this happens, Culpepper as no where to go.
