Why Do We Have Ricky And Ronnie???

I mean if we're only gonna give em 12 carries or so, why the H3Ck do we need a 1st round pick like Ronnie Brown or a probowler like Ricky?? I love Ronnie and would have picked the same in the draft. What is wrong with our coaches and our OFFENSIVE PLAYCALLING???! The last bunch of games it's like they forgot that we have a GOOD RUNNING GAME, with 2 awesome Backs. Yall can blame the stinky Ferret all you want (and he deserves some blame), we can also blame Chambers, but once again...when it came down to it..1 minute left..FROM THE 10 yard line or so...4 straight passes. No TD's. 2 exactly the same back-to-back plays, 1 retarted play to ronnie out in the flat for a loss of 5, then a desperation throw to Chambers who again dropped an all important ball at the worst time. NOT 1 run. WITH 2 time outs!!! We could have thrown that fade on 1st down. Ran it up the middle on 2nd down. Ran it up the middle on 3rd down, then if we haven't scored already, throw one in the endzone on 4th. But....2 timeouts, 4 pass plays, no run plays, ANOTHER BULLSH#@t Loss! Blame this one one the Coaches, yall. 12 carries for Ronnie, and pnly 6 or so for Ricky???.......

yup and i thought our playcalling was going to be alot better with the hiring Linehan. He's made some horrible playcalling

Forget the fact that we almost won the game, but we need more ball control. hence running game.

Having the D out on the field the whole game is dumb

Same people will come here and tell you that the passes were great calls. :rolleyes2

We are being outcoached and if Wanny were here with the same results, he would be put on a stick above a bbq pit!!

Its pathetic really.
 
What I dont understand is why arent Ronnie and Ricky getting more passes? Screens and dump-offs while they split out . How can they both be contained? I dont think they can. But Ricky and Ronnie arent being passed too enough either!
 
you have ricky because he has the potential to be very effective again. and he currently has a VERY low cap number.

you have brown because you drafted him, since you didnt think williams would ever come back.

you dont run because your OC would rather let your "carrer backup" pass the ball 47 times, insted of hand the ball off to a rookie. (thats the same reason you are loosing)
 
R&R got 30 touches out of 72 plays against NE. That is about 42% of our plays had R&R with the ball, and that doesn't include passes that were thrown to R&R but were incomplete.

LT, the best back in the league, against the Chiefs in week 8 got 33% of plays. I haven't check his percentages for the rest of season. Remember R&R really play the same position.

On all 4 downs at the end, NE blitzed on all 4 downs.

We averaged 3.03 yards a carry so it's not like we are dominating.

... also chambers dropped the ball to tie the game.

Ricky had 11 carries not 6

are you kidding me? running the ball ins't the issue here guys. we are doing the average of what every team does and thats run about 30 times a game. 15 to 12, 12 to 10 wahte4vre it may be bu tits up there with other teams. only problem i see that u guys hsould be worried about is that RB is the one gaining yard adn RW is the one that is gaining about a yard a carry if u take away the NO game. RW isn't helping us, if u gave those 10 carries to RB it would have been more productive then RW's were. put those 10 on RB and tahts about 22-25 a game, u guys WOULDN"T be complaining then. what do you want? 45 carries a game and 10 passes as the ratio? with the OFF line we have we can't consistently run 45 times even tho they have IMPROVED greatly, they dont make holes. Why does RB average more then RW? he breaks more tackles and has better second efforts.

uhh helloooooo! if CC cought those passes and frerrote was more accurate we woud still be on the field rather hten 3 and outs or 2 min drives then punt. it isn't just the Running game guys, its the players. as they say in the NFL, we dont have ENOUGH talent. period. and we are getting out coached mainly in the OC spot.
 
It was the same last week. Why are we passing the ball in all of these short yardage situations? You would ALL have to agree that at least one run should have been attempted on a 1st and goal with like a min left in the game and 2 time outs. Hell, even with one time out.

I ran that same scenerio on madden and scored 2 out of 4 times once with Ricky and once with Ronnie lol!!!! :lol: :lol:
 
If Ricky can produce and If Linehan can realize this is not minesota we do not have culpepper and moss and we do have two good solid running backs unlike in minnesota then we could win more games and make all the opposing defenses watch more film on how to stop the r&r express.
