Next season will be 3 games in 4 seasons right? Why do we keep giving up a home game? What does Ross get out of this?

Ross gave them up to get in good graces with the commish in trying to get a Super Bowl pre reno. They never got a deal. Now that the stadium has been renovated and Miami was granted a Super Bowl, it is part of any team hosting the Super Bowl to give up a home game AFTER receiving the nod for hosting the game.

Is what it is . . . . Ross got his Super Bowl and we got our updated stadium. At least it isn't a division game this time. That was nuts.

This time, the Super Bowl in Miami. It was part of the deal for any team that wants to host.

That's a BS reason for next year. We gave up a Jets home game last year for 'a Superbowl in Miami'. Ross should have negotiated and said "I give you the NO home game for a Monday Night home game against the Patriots and a Sunday Night home game against the Jets or Bills.

It is what it is, Miami is one of the most popular teams over there, the NFL wants to get huge excitement for NFL Football, and Ross wants Miami to host more SB.

I am also not a fan of this, but I also believe if Miami is to again be a premium franchise, they need to take the attitude of line them up whichever way you want, we will knock them down.

The good thing is that the game should have a bit of a homefield advantage type feel because of the amount of UK Dolphin fans and likely new fans thanks to Brit Jay Ajayi's success.

Exactly, no matter who Miami plays down there, way more time then not, it will normally feel like a home field advantage for the most part.

Ross wants superbowls

Oh please. We never had any homefield advantage in London. Our home games always turn into away games. Plus Europeans don't understand to shut up when your favorite team is on offense.

It's a myth.

Well the flight/timezone change/jet lag, etc etc is enough to make this NOTHING like a home game IMO, especially because you're nowhere near home (except Ajayi maybe)

I know these guys are conditioned to travel a minimum of 8 times per year for work, but this is bull**** and throws away everything that is to be gained from true homefield advantage.

So what are you saying? They can't be good fans, and actually can't give us a home-field type felling?

It's a myth.

Look at the bright side. Up until this year its debatable if the Dolphins had a home field advantage in Miami Gardens :)

if there wasn't before, there will be more home field feel next year with Ajayi being a hometown hero. It's amazing what a personal connection can do for someone's fanhood.

I won't argue with the majority of fans over there not fully understanding the customary "make noise" scenarios, but there are plenty that do (my uncle Rod for instance, dude knows his football)
