No bashing intended, but I have to finally ask. Why all the love for Henne? I am a die hard buckeye. Went to Grad school and had a National championship my Sophmore year. Thats why I like Ginn, Ive seen him do amazing things(sorry had to get it in there), but why all the Henne love? He was a mediocre QB for Michigan. All the Michigan fans wanted and still dog him out. 0-4 in the biggest games of his career. Unless you live here you cant imagine the importance of the BIG GAME. He has a big arm, but I watched him make alot of big mistakes over and over again. I watched almost all his games. Trust me when I say I love Henne, he was our MVP for 4 years, and I would love nothing more than to see him WIN NOW.

i was actually sketched when we drafted him.... i was high on Flacco.

Henne in college had a strong arm, great pocket passer, but what i hated was totally unable to handle pressure, especially up the middle. he would lock in often on one WR and heave it, forcing it, usually for a pick. Most of his INT's throw were jsut horrible decisions due to him buckling under pressure.

but... he is our QB of future as of now, he is working with Pennington and the coaching staff, and he seems to care to learn and work hard on developing into the starting role... THIS IS WHY I LOVE HENNE.... he is our guy!!!

Being an App fan I have seen a non proud moment of Henne's college career and when I saw that we drafted not one but two players from Michigan of whom Appalachian state beat it made me laugh. Though I really only have one game to judge henne by and he was beaten by a "lesser" school.

Great answer. Thats why we gotta love Ginn too. Hes not going anywhere, hes our guy right now!

And I loved the Appalachian game. 1AA thats like the fins loosing to a CFL team.

A good analogy would be- lets say you only own 3 pairs of jeans, one of them in great condition but they have been around a long time

The second pair of jeans is brand new from the store. You have only tried them on once and for a short time but from the limited amont of time you have spent with those jeans they are pretty solid (although you never know)

The third pair of jeans you got a couple of years ago and you discovered that it has a large hole ripped out of the rear and every time you put them on everything important falls out.

Another words its not so much love but hope your new pair of jeans can hold up in the future because if not you might be stuck exposing yourself to the public

That sounds more like a personal problem:sidelol:

Dont get your point we can get or draft a QB just as easy as any other position.

Henne flashed alot of potiental in the pre-season and in the AZ game. He's the qb of the dolphins future and jeff ireland, dan henning have even went public saying they are sure that they got our qb. Let him learn from pennington and he will become great.

He was good in college, ill give you that but he has not done much to impress me in the pros. He has had some big plays here and there but not very consistan. We should have never passed on Brady Quinn for Ted Ginn Jr. Quinn is a better QB than Henne anyway. However Henne is our future QB and I support him and hope he does very well.

Quinn has really proved he is better than Henne, that was a great game he had before he got hurt.

I disagree, I believe Henne has more upside, I think Brady was a flash in a pan qb at Notre Dame.

Aside from that comparison, I'm excited for Henne because he can lead the other men in the huddle, he has the brass and fire to do so.

This is one Michigan fan who loved Henne at Michigan, watched him play injured through his Senior year, got healthy over the break between the OSU UM game and scorched Florida in the bowl game. For you to speak on behalf of my fellow Michigan fans is absurd and your remark about Ginn clearly indicates that your view is prejudicial. I know very very few Michigan fans who did not love Henne.

Henne showed his upside in the pre-season and against Arizona just as he showed his toughness in his senior year. Will he make the adjustment to the NFL? I think so. He's smart, poised in the pocket and confidant. Of course, we won't know until he plays, just like we won't know about Brady Quinn until he plays (more than a couple of games).

Your post is like saying that Ohio State can't win, in fact gets humiliated on national TV twice. Does that mean they really suck? Of course not.

four year starter in the Big 10 and a baller

what is not to like? it took Chad Pennington to put Henne on the bench for the first time in his life
