Why does everyone want to trade Moore NOW?

Moore should be resigned, going into any season without a good backup is a recipe for disaster. Delvin has proven nothing in this league. Why not keep all 3 players.

It'd be great to have him on the team next year, but odds are he will be elsewhere for a) a chance to start and/or b) more $.

The way Moore struggled in the preseason, I was skeptical of his ability to play in this offense. No longer skeptical. Moore came in and was great.

You are right, we would be foolish to trade him for what we can expect to be offered for him. Especially when the extent of the Tannehill injury is not known.

Moore has always been capable of the good game, he reminds me of Don Strock in that way.....capable of coming off the bench and doing something...but not good enough to lead a team to the promise land.

Moore has never shown the consistency in this league to lead a championship team...that is the bottom line.

If he will stay as a backup.....great.

My feeling is, he will want to test the waters elsewherre next year....but we will see.

Moore is a good backup QB, but thats all he is. He had a good game today, but not spectacular as some are making it out to be. He was given great field position all game, and was granted some few calls against which move the chains to his favor. He had a good game today, but don't expect him to be a gamer against upper echelon teams.
What QB do we have that has beat an upper echelon team? Gaffney catches that beautiful pass and he looke even better.

I never doubted Moore's ability to lead this team. I had him penciled in as the starter over Ryan and garrard. I am glad Ryan won the gig as he is our future. I just hope that Moore's performance doesn't get into the head of #17, The last thing we need is Ryan's confidence and progress being slowed by a qb that we all know won't be on this team past this season or next. Stay true to the plan, Ryan is our man.

WE need Moore over any draft pick not in the 1st round.....

Since no one offeing a 1st
Moore's here to stay...

Quoth Mia4ever never MOORE ....

agreed, although I would extend that to a 2nd round pick...

moore did his job today. a backups job is to come in and preserve a win. It's only week 8 though, if a team offered me a 2nd round pick tomorrow I'd trade him, unless of course tannehill injury is serious and he will miss substantial time... nobody knows how the next month will go. we could lose our next four games and be sitting thinking we could have traded matt moore for a 2nd rounder and we kept him cuz we thought we could predict the future...

all that being said, he's what I've always said he is.. a good backup. he did his job today, and I was glad we had him to come in and preserve the win. Hopefully the next month goes good for us, definately some winnable games up until the seattle game...

careful the argument goes both ways... fasano made one helluva td catch. lots of moores passes are hauled by great catches, you can't piss and moan when a guy drops one he should have had without acknowledging the extra effort that goes into a lot of his completions.

the game got more and more out of hand as time went on... the team looked very comfortable out there and it was fun to watch. unlike last year, where you just sat on nerves end on a 17 point lead waiting to blow it...

I'm sorry, but that is a rather dumb. Moore is what he is: a veteran, competent game manager that makes good decisions and doesn't turn the ball over. However, it's clear he doesn't have that type of potential. He not an IT player. I would like to keep him, but if there is an offer out there that can net us a first round pick with him the trade chip, you have to pull the trigger.

I was just thinking the samething about Don Strock, how long did stay on as Marino's back up?

To write off Matt Moore's play off the bench as "serviceable" is lame.

He made a number of good plays and didn't turn the ball over. He was a credit to the team today and a big part of the win. By the team's own admission, Tannehill could have come back in, but was held out because Moore was playing well and getting it done.

Matt Moore was clutch today.

A lot of Dolfans on this Board, and elsewhere, make a simple mistake. They call M MOORE a "back-up". He's not. He was the 12th best-rated QB in the NFL last season, despite an unready HC and the COLUMBO-CAREY fiasco, among other things. Now, it's just the "situation". Teams pray for a solid starting QB. But MIAMI HAS TWO STARTING QBs. Since there's only ONE football, one of them has to sit. But make no mistake: after about a decade of having nothing but Bozos playing QB, MIAMI now has TWO QBs that have starter's talent. And both appear able to do something intangible but very important: lead a team.

I just wish there was as simple a way to keep BOTH.

P.S.: Some of you laughed when I posted (a while back) that if anyone wanted M MOORE, they'd have to come up w/a 2nd and a 6th. Well...if it was YOU who laughed, what do you say NOW, dummies?

Are the Dolphins going to resign Moore?
i mean im sure theyll deff offer him a contract, but most likely will not accept unless he can not find work elsewhere. me personally, i feel matt moore is a lot better than given credit for, and he does not have a future here with the future invested in tannehill, so i hope for his sake he is able to find work as a starter somewhere else ( except for the bills or jets) but if he is willing to re up here, than great, just dont see it happening.
