Why does it cost a king's ransom to go to a preseason game?

The point I'm trying to make here is that most teams give away seats to preseason games, like a couple other people alluded to.

Are the Dolphins really hurting for money so bad that they need to charge full price for preseason?

Maybe they would if people didn't go to the free scrimmage and boo the team for "practice".

Most teams are going to charge full price for preseason tickets . . . which is the same as the price for regular season tickets. But you can find the tickets for 1/4 of the price or less on several sites from people who were forced to buy those tickets with their season ticket package.

I don't know of teams really advertising the "giving away" of preseason tickets.

Parking is Parking . . . you can't duck it. Hopefully you are going with a bunch of folks and can split the fee somehow. Public transportation is an option but with this rain and the sorryness of the public transportation system compared to other major cities, personally, I'd take the loss.

Then again I enjoy watching the preseason games at home so I can watch more players.

I've never paid for a ticket in my life and never will, I get them for free from a friend who works at Fox or if someone has an extra one, otherwise I sit at home and prefer to sit at home.

Operating costs for preseason would prob. be just as much as reg season and my guess is they prob lose money on preseason since they're never half way full.

Miami-Dade Transit plans to expand MetroRail to Sun Life Stadium in the future, but with the way government is moving don't expect that to happen within the next 3000 years. Whenever that happens I'll be ducking stadium parking.

Yeah, this is the same as when the Metro Rail got the OK to be expanded all the way down to Kendall.....10 years ago. Not a brick has been laid.

Probably waiting on the corruption money to exchange hands. Just like the Marlins new stadium.

HA!

Stubhub has tickets near the 50 yd line in the upper deck for $35 for 2, including electronic delivery and fees. If you can't spare $20, I'd complain too.

Yea I saw the tickets on there . . . real nice seats for that price.

If we have another 7-9 season record or less
Ross will be paying fans to go to games

Goin to tomorrow's game, only cost me $25. Can't wait to see the new pieces added to the team. Plus Newton will be starting for panthers. Even though it's preseason, I think it's worth the money.

Our tickets are pretty cheap compared to some other stadiums. And with some other NFL teams, you cant even get tickets to games because they are sold out minutes after they go on sale. Miami isnt that bad.

I drove up to Jville in 2009 and parking "offsite" ($20) with 2 upper level 35 yard line tickets from StubHub cost me $120 in total . . . and I did my research. Trust me, our tickets are reasonably priced compared to alot of teams . . . and this was a team that has "being moved" rumors all the time. The NFL is just an expensive business .. . which is why it was hard to take sides in the lockout because it literally was a millionaires vs. billionaires argument . . . while the average person is the one that really suffers in the end.
