Was just thinking about this and thought I’d start a conversation about it. Belicheck has found many hidden gems either in the draft or FA. One that always stands out to me is Wes Welker. I started thinking about it because I liked what Maurice Harris did last year, DC didn’t restrict him and off he goes to NE. He’s listed as their slot WR. He’s a little taller than they usually cast but without Gronk there it makes a lot of sense to me.
NE just seems to work the system better than everyone else and I hope this new regime in Miami pulls value out of draft picks, FA/comp picks, finds those players misused on other squads and let’s go of the right players at the right time. Even NE makes mistakes, but they certainly seem the best coming out ahead.
