Why is people so high on trent edwards and willing to take him with our #40 pick when he has has THREE right, throwing arm, injuries. i dont want a guy that has had that much injuries to his throwing arm. i would rather go after john beck from BYU. his stats are close to quinn, but becks completion % is much higher. he has great arm, quick release, accurate, very mobile, tough, leader, very smart. he doesnt force throws and he runs the offense better than most other QB.

Well I very glad to hear he doesn't force throws unless he has too....and what an idea...a QB that runs the offense...what will they think of next? :sidelol:

You made your English teacher cry daily didn't you?

Drew Brees' shoulder injury really de-railed his season huh?

I dont think you can compare the two. Edwards doesnt heal like Brees and Brees doesnt heal like edwards. Everyone body is different. Not saying anything good or bad about either QB but you cant compare the same injury on two different player because their healing time would be different...Actually, If you did want to compare the two Edwards might be a little quicker because he is much younger

how can you compare a season veteran, brees to a draftee that still has to prove himself.i dont want a QB with THREE shoulder problems in college. it just reminds me of a guy whose career will end up like chad pennington, rarely finishing a season with out injury. maybe at a different position but not QB and not for our franchise QB. the reason marino, farve, elway stayed around so long is cuz there arms lasted. look ahead 8 year, his shoulde ris gonna be gone if he keeps injuring it.

Hopefully the reports of Kolb being favored are true, making this a non-issue. There's always the hope for Quinn and perhaps even Troy Smith being bandied about. We're almost there to find out who we get!

You got that right buddy. Lets stop all this bantering and wait a few more days.

I guess being a seasoned veteran means you heal faster..............lol

I'm not comparing him to Drew Brees, I'm just saying don't put too much stock into arm injuries. And Chad Pennington was the biggest reason for the Jets turnaround last season, I don't think Trent Edwards would be too disappointed if his career turns out like Penningtons.

no but why would miami pass on him because of his shoulder injury, and then for a guy in the draft who is unproven with many shoulder injuries to be the franchise QB. make no scense at all
