And point out that Moore played against backups? All offseason all we heard about was them looking for come competition for Henne, and we are in a critical preseason evaluation phase, and he announces there is no competition and Moore won't work with first teamers. That just seems odd to me. Is he going to wait till we are in the regular season to evaluate Moore against starting defenses? WTF is the logic going on here? I'm not even a Moore supporter, I think we all know what Henne can do, so why would it hurt to put Moore in for some 1st team reps in a preseason game? Could it be that if he is better than Henne, and only had the playbook for a few weeks, the coaches will really look stupid? IDK, it's strange that competition is all they have talked about and he creates an environment where it cannot occur...

The same reason as last year, and the year before... Because Sparano has NO IDEA what he is doing! He is a horrible decision maker with the common sense of a monkey. He'll likely be gone next year along with Henne thank god!

Because the team is all in on Henne

thats exactly it. this is Henne's make or break year. lucky for us the draft should be stock piled with QB talent. this season is a win-win. Henne produces and we are sure contenders for a playoff spot, if not we will be picking in the top 15 and looking for a new QB.

it would also take some pressure off Henne to perform if the overpaid O-line would step up and maybe we actually get a legit 1,200 yard rusher.

Henne has got this game IMO. He'll go out there and prove he's got command of the offense and timing with the players. I fully expect Moore to get a look next week.

Amazingly, Sparano seems content to go all-in with Henne. It's not just make or break for Henne, but Sparano and possibly Ireland as well. Good luck. I wouldn't want my career resting in Henne's hands based on what I've seen. But they've passed up every opportunity to bring in any real competition (the draft, Orton, Vince young, etc) and now refuse to even look at the only other viable qb option on the roster. This is the most hopeless I've felt going into a season, since AJ Feeley.

That has a ring of truth to it.

Because Sparano has ZERO clue what a nfl caliber QB is! He couldn't find one if it feel out of the air, landed on his face, and started to wiggle! With Sparano getting more power with his extension it is obvious he is puffing out his chest and exerting his authority! The roster soft spots have his finger prints all over them.

Because he's an o-line guru...and who knows quality quarterbacking more than offensive line coaches? Wait I know, our current QB coach who used to be a WR coach.

Sparano can't even find a viable RIGHT GUARD year FOUR into this rebuilding.

We expect to him to then know what he's doing with the most important position in all of sports?

Shades of Wannstedt and Fiedler....live with each other, get fired with each other.

as far as i've seen Henne SANK last year! i do not get the henne love by this regime or by the fanbase. i support him and root for him to be better but he still looks like the same exact guy according to practice and the games. he has 0 accuracy. and will always cost us that game-changing INT - plus he has only put together 1 game winning drive that i can remember. Sparano is going to be fired after this year and it is b/c he had no serious competetion for Henne.

think about it - if orton comes in or young or mcnabb, any of those guys - and they start over henne - there is no question about it. BUT since moore "sucks" if they start him over henne and he stinks it up they are just as liable as if they go in with Henne - its a LOSE/LOSE for sparano this season and he knows it - i feel bad for the guy.

We have never had a QB competition, someone is always handed the job.

In all honesty.. There hasn't been too many QBs walk into Davie that have actually contributed to anything in the past 10 years. Pennington has been about the only one to do anything for this franchise.
