Why don't all fans wear white during games like the heat?

I was watching some highlights of Dan Marino in the 90's and are stadium was filled with white shirts and alot less orange around the stadium. Why did the fans stop doing this?

I'm sure if the Dolphins made the playoffs and had a tshirt promotion going on for the game they would.

The Heat order almost 21,000 tshirts from a friend of mine in Miami. They work all night to print them and have them at the AAA by noon on gameday.

From there event staff at the AAA then take all of those shirts and drape them over the every seat.

Dolphins could run into a couple of problems with this, One, it could rain during a game or it could be a bit windy blowing shirts off the backs of seats. You could hand out shirts to people at the gate, but you'd have some goober running back to the gate claiming that they really didn't get one upon entrance.

The heat wear white due to the playoff theme known as "White Hot", if the Dolphins make the playoffs! I'd more than gladly wear a pink thong and white shirt if that's they're playoff theme.

As Miami fans, we're always looking for a reason to watch anything other than the Dolphins.

Wouldn't work, especially when half the fans that do show up are wearing colors of the away team.

We used to wave white hankies back then too and no one does anymore. The Steelers have the "terrible towel" and we flew the white handkerchief. I miss the days of thousands of screaming, white hanky waving fans.

Can't do that in today's world. Miami fans wave white towels and PFT the next day would write the headline "Dolphins fans waving the white flag"
