If Philbin isnt sold on him? Curious to see the answers defending this joke of a franchise as to how they werent sold on him yet met with him and brought him in to discuss a contract.

Same reason they met with Gerrard...you are probably the same person that would bash the FO if Flynn signed and was a bust as a starter...Obviously not too many other teams viewed Flynn as an upgrade over their current starting QB and that contract is nothing more than a back up QB contract...what happens if he dosent beat out Jackson in Seattle to take the starting job then what? Still a bad move?

It's a valid question, but you are going to get jumped by a dozen or more on here saying it was some part of a master plan. If they would have gotten him cheap, it would have been a brilliant move and he'd be our frachise QB for the next 15 years.

I don't believe it's an issue that we aren't sold on him. I believe we want every single guy we are interested in. But once they get here and meet with Ireland and speak with him other teams sound and feel like a better situation. I can almost put money on it. If it was jus one guy then I'd say we weren't sold but pretty much every single guy that comes just doesn't seen to be sold on the dolphins.

You won't get an answer from the blind faithers. They must defend the Dolphins all the time...Even when they are wrong (last year).

LOL how do you go into an offseason proclaiming you need to fix the qb position and miss out on your top 3 targets?

Are you all supportive of ANOTHER rebuild? Because thats what this is...

You meet with him b/c you think he can start for your team....but you also value how much you think he was worth based on your evaluation. If he values himself much higher than you and you chose not to overpay b/c you only see him as good, not great, then he walks.

"All indications are the Dolphins thought Flynn to be that potential starter but still couldn't pay him that?"

Potential starter...also read further it says they believe he could WIN the position so it would have been a competition...if he was that much of an upgrade...there would be NO need for a competition...

What do you know about faith? You're the guy with the black cloud hanging around you everywhere you go always and forever.

...Manning...Flynn...who was the 3rd?

If the Fins did all that analysis as stated in the article then they apparently felt comfortable offering Flynn what they thought he was worth. Seattle just felt he was worth more. Time will tell who was right.

Move on, next...
