Each and every single one of you out there should be proud of the Miami Dolphins. Some of you are probably saying why? The Dolphins just lost 48 - 28 to the New England Patriots in a critical game that will go a long way to determining the playoff pool.

Wait.....read that sentence again.....The Dolphins just lost 48 - 28 to the New England Patriots in a critical game that will go a long way to determining the playoff pool.

When was the last time we were able to say that? When was the last time a late November game meaned so much? When was the last time the house was packed in a game in late November?

The Miami Dolphins today showed a lot of things. They showed heart, determination, persistence, guts, and so much more. They also showed that they are still a very young team and have some time to go before they can truly come out on top against the elite teams of this league.

Think about today - the Miami Dolphins were basically in a shootout with one of the most well - run team the NFL has ever seen. They were in this shootout for basically about 48 minutes of this game. That is impressive.

What exactly would a Miami Dolphins win mean today? It would mean we would be sitting in a great spot for the playoffs. It would mean the media would continue to talk about how good of a story the Dolphins were. More importantly though, it would only mean that we are much farther ahead of schedule than most imagined.

This Miami Dolphins team is young. No one envisioned this team being like this in its first year of rebuilding. No one envisioned the Miami Dolphins playing in such a huge game this late in the season.

The Miami Dolphins showed today that they are young and still need some help. Another draft and another year of free - agent signings will go a long way to solidifying this team. This team needs a lot of secondary help and also needs some big receivers.

Bill Parcells, Jeff Ireland, and Tony Sparano have a plan. They have a vision. I am sure that in that locker room today, every one of those players were still proud of today - even though they lost.

The Miami Dolphins took a huge step forward today. Today was the day where a November game finally meaned so much. Today was a day where the Miami Dolphins found out they can go toe - to - toe with one of the best teams in the NFL. And today was a day where the Miami Dolphins realized that they have something special going on.

And all of you should be proud of them.

i have never been more proud after a loss then today, guys like long were getting taped up and back on the field, the players gave everything today, they just lost, so what we split with the pats, dont forget the phins kicked their butts also

When its all said and done I'm happy with the direction we've taken, but I hate losing in a game that turned out so ugly in the end and where our defense got shredded. It's just not very encouraging. We're really only minutely better than last year, we just learned how to come ahead in a few games where we learned to lose last year. That, and our QB is playing great. Everything else is still pretty mediocre and our winning a few games this year doesn't change that.

A loss always hurt, but we are 6-5 and have the Rams next week. Our defense didn't play that great but we right there through the first three quarters. I think this team needs to add a couple of solid d-backs and a quality linebacker next year. 6 wins still feel much better than where we were at last year at this time.

Agree!! this is the first time in a long time that we play a meaningful game, let's not complain and get behind this team there's a lot football left to play and we have a good chance to make the playoffs or to have winning season, having a winning season will be great too let's not forget about last year :boohoo:

We have improved but still have a way to go. We seem to have a winning attitude now...which is half the battle. The next couple of drafts will determine if we get to the promised land. It is fun to be relevant again :-)

I am proud of the Dolphins this season. No longer are we a team searching for that first win of the season in November. No longer are we a team that is the nightly punch line on Leno or Letterman. No longer are we the worst NFL team in the state of Florida. No longer are we out of games by halftime.

I have Parcells, Ireland and Sparano to thank for that. We were 1-15 last season and no one gave us a chance this season. Every where you looked, people were predicting 3-13 or 4-12 seasons. A lot of Dolphin fans at the beginning of the season(mostly after the Arizona game) were questioning if we were worse then the 1-15 team of the year before.

The culture has changed dramatically and while people thought Parcells and Co. would turn us around, no one expected it this soon. Back in the summer if the basic fan would be asked the question "How many wins will the Dolphins having going into Thanksgiving?" Most would say around 1-3.

I am very sad by what happened today, but I can't forget the big picture. This is just year one of the rebuilding process. We just have happened to get a huge jump start on it. Not only do we have 5 more wins then last year, but we also have the chance to make the biggest turnaround win wise in NFL history.

Things are looking very good for the Fins, and it just isn't what is on the field right now. We enter next offseason with a lot of salary cap room and 9 draft picks(three on the first day).

Instead of pouting, we need to just enjoy the wild ride we have had this season. We were 0-11 at this point last season. Just remember that.

As much as this loss hurts, I think we all remember where we were at this time last season. I'll take 6-5 over 0-11 anyday of the week. If anything, this game showed that the Dolphins still have much to improve on if they have ambitions of being a playoff team. That being said, this season ain't over yet. Let's get up, dust ourselves off, and let's gear up for next Sunday against the Rams. Go Dolphins!

yes a lot of steps have been taken this season. the effort and heart was there even though it got away in the 4th quarter. tough loss

I want to say that the dolphins gave it the best and i understand that stadiums was full today was that correct. I was forced to watch a pathetic dallas and san fran game so imissed out. I cant wait until next year when i should have cable by then.

if miami drops to 3rd in the east it will be a not so disapointing season but it will hurt us in draft position. we need to win games but i hope people dont forget that we are still at a crossroads and need one more good draft . we are a 50 % team meaning we neeed more help before we are ready to compete for the division.

it s important that we get some really good players in the offseasn because next year gang, it is tough schedule and we could be in for a let down so i think we are at the threshold of a bounceback franchize. this loss doesnt hurt as much as the jets loss but it still shows we havent turned the corner just yet.
the thing i worry about is falling back to fourth in the division and then having a tough schedule next season.

all in all i am proud of the players and i ws glad to hear that the stadium was full or close to it. we are gtting better and that is the main thing.

This team is leaps and bounds a better team than a year ago. It's nice to see games where we aren't making stupid penalties and for the first time in years, I have confidence in the offense when they take the field. Today Sparano and Co were simply outcoached. They outcoached Belicheat in NE and he had his staff had our number today. Keeping Cassel in the gun and picking apart our man coverage was due to coaching and lack of execution by the players on the field. Nonetheless, I'm estatic by how well this team has done this year. I definitely feel like we'll be challenging for the AFC East next year and years beyond.

Everyone keeps saying...remember last year. Well this isn't last year anymore. We are in fact a better team and, yes, we can take pride in that. But, and there is a but, as fans we expected that win. Its great to say we are competitive again, but are we just that? No, we are a much better team then what we showed today, and that is why we should be disappointed.
I love the turn around and realize we are building something great and need more time to put everything in place, but still that was disgraceful.
I am looking on the bright side in a different way of this not being last year. We are now a better team, and especially a better team then we showed in that fourth quarter. I know not just hope for wins, I expect them. I take great pride in that fact, but get disappointed when they are not delivered.
