Ross has gotten all these local celebs to buy shares of the Dolphins. Dan Marino is the greatest Dolphin of all and great in the community. Why hasnt he bought a piece of the Fins pie?

My guess is that he doesent want to. He has a job with the NFL(CBS actually) and probably can't be affiliated with any particular team

I love dan, and i know dan, I don't think he's got a pot to piss in these days, his house has been on the market at basement prizes for over 3 years...

How good of an investment is 10 million dollars for 1% of the team? The team just sold for a billion dollars how much more could the franchise go uo in value.

I find it hard to believe Marino is broke. I think you are confusing Marino with Kosar. If you really know Dan, he probably is feeding that garbage to you so you don't ask him to lend you money.

Marino is selling his house in Weston, but only because his kids are grown up and he wants to move closer to the beach I believe. The guy isnt broke at all. He makes a good amount from CBS, and even has his own hospital/clinic here in Weston

thread title edit :Buy***

I dont think dan marino wants to be a 1% owner when he already has the status of "Best Dolphins QB ever"

Marino is worth a fortune... just because he's been trying to sell his house for 3 years doesn't mean he doesn't have a pot to piss in. The real estate market blows.

Actually I believe Marino and Shula are already minority owners. I believe Wayne gave them both shares when he owned it.

In January 1996, Don Shula, the winningest coach in NFL history, was named as vice-chairman of the Miami Dolphins, in addition to his status as a part-owner of the team.
