I love Sparano...but if his philosophy is to have the best 11 on the field...why hasnt Ginn been returning KO from the get go?

This could be one of the major gaffs from this staff.

We roll with the WC because "...its the strength of our personnel...at rb..."

So...why not Ginn returning KO's?

Hmmm...a blown opportunity.

Exactly, what I've been grumbling about. That decision could have cost us the season already. We have 4 losses and no room for error. Putting too much pressure for us to probably overcome.

Right now, even if we beat the Pats this Sunday, we still might not make the playoffs because of an untimely loss to "any given sunday" opponent here on out.

Due to his brainiac decision of putting Cobbs on KR? and keeping Bess on PR?

Probably because he was doing a lousy job at it. Last year Ted Ginn ranked next to last in the NFL with an average of 20.5 yards per return.

This....coupled with running out of bounds, etc...

...and trying to focus on making him something that he wasn't.....a role as a #1 WR....

Did you watch the first game of the season against the Falcons?

Just curious...

I think it's pretty cut and dry. They said they wanted to put as much time into developing him as a WR. Now..I don't exactly know how much time you have to practice handling kick offs but that would be my guess. They are now seeing this "idea" might not be panning out at WR.

Play count. Ginn relies upon speed to have big plays. He did make people miss, but that is not the norm. If he is a starting receiver with 40+ plays a game, he cannot do what he did versus the Jets.

That was because his play count was too high. Ginn cannot be a starting WR and a great kick returner. Some rare players can, but it is not the norm.

I agree, I feel like he should have been returning kicks the whole time. Everytime he touches the ball he is a threat to take it to the house. Nothing we can do about it now, but I think he has earned his spot as our KR. Lets just hope that this has gained his confidence and maybe he will give us a little production as a WR as well.
