why have we not cut hagan and martin yet?

I am wondering if the Tuna is going to look at replacing te david martin and wr derick hagan this offseason. i beleive they can get better but we need to improve at wr and tightend. I was hoping we could bring in a big time wr to replace hagan but it sounds like we brought in third teir players at wr . I would dance naked in the pale moonlight with the devil if we traded for Chad Johnson or wr Roy Williams . heck i am hearing that we may trade for linebacker bobby carpenter but i cant confirm it for now.

p.s. how do you get the smilies to work , I point the curser but nothing hapens what does one have to do to get it to work ?

Hagan is still young enough, he could still develop into a decent WR, although I'm not holding my breath. If anything, we need the competition.
 
Worst. Post. Ever. I hope your not the same person ordering your Davonne Bess jersey. Cut Derek Hagan? Seriously? In favor of who? An UDFA? Please.
 
We need to keep Derek Hagan but if we cut Martin i am ok with that but i think hagan could be a good Slot WR for us or a 3rd wr
 
Hm if we cut Hagan, our receiving core would be Ginn, Wilford and Camarillo right?

Now it's not much better looking with Hagan included, but we need players more then anything right now.
 
Even if the FO was looking at replacing Hagan and/or Martin, you don't do that until you know for sure the guys you have brought in are out-performing those guys. Otherwise you take the chance of those guys bombing out and looking like an idiot for cutting the other guys too early. He won't be doing any cuts until either he knows for sure or until he's required to cut down the roster. Competition, competition, competition. Those are the words many of our players are going to have to get used to for the next several years. I see them constantly wanting to bring in talented personnel to compete for starting positions and tell them the best performer gets it. It's the only way to make a 1-15 team better each year.
 
we should cut martin but hagans has to stay. there r no other options right now. Next time i suggest tuna and co. draft a wr instead trying to get another defensive lineman in the draft. looks like the recievers corps r going to be average at best this year.
 
if we wanted to get rid of hagen then we would of traded him for pics
 
Hagans still has a lot of upside... a ton more than any other WR on our roster outside of Ginn... You want him cut why?
 
If nothing else keep him for the depth.
He certainly hasn't reached his potential yet.

martin I wouldn't mind seeing go either, but again perhaps its a depth issue.
fasano will be the starter without question in my opinion, but I am really looking for hagan to have a breakout year.

at any rate, we may not need the WR's to be anything special this year, it should be another big year for ronnie and ricky, barring an unforseen injuries.
 
David Martin has a lower salary than Justin Peele. Someone will have to beat him out for a job before we cut him. Who is that guy?

Hagan may not be a #1 Receiver... our there 4 or 5 guys on our roster better than him, though? Additionally, he has a very low salary as well.
 
Give Hagen some time, some peoples hands don't fully develope until the are in their 30's !!!!!!
