Is there an issue releasing Dion Jordan? What would be the salary problem if we did?

I think they are taking a back burner approach on this one that will be addressed during the off season. I expect he will be cut and the Dolphins will have to by rule take back 1/4 of his signing bonus (around $3.3 million).

I think the cap hit this year would have been pretty harsh. Hopefully he is on next train packing when season is over.
He cost 3 million to cut and 6 million to keep. We can get three players just as good if not better for that 3 million.

I think i read somewhere that if he gets suspended again by the league it doesn't count against our cap, not sure ...but the idea behind the article was...let the nfl help us decide

Right Jordan is an asset much like Ricky Williams was an asset during his self-imposed exile. If he gets his cranium out of rectum, he could be developed into a trade-able asset.

If not, the axe falls.

I was having a good day then this thread reminded me of the fact that moron Ireland wasted a 1st aand a 2nd on this idiot...smh

Ozzy rules

Where was that poster asking if we were too harsh on Ireland again?

Ricky williams was an asset because he was a good player. Jordan is abelow average football player that no team is trading for

I seriously don't get how Ireland kept his job so long. He must have had something on the owner!

Yeah but finheaven thought we fleeced the raiders and Ireland was a genius when we got Jordan.

Personally I have no faith in Jordan. Seems like he just doesn't love football much and will likely NEVER turn it around. However I'd still take a wait and see approach. As much as we think he blows he would have never fallen out of the top 10 in his draft and 32 GM's thought highly of him. I also think he screwed us some as I think even at the level he was playing at he could have been our starting SOLB, unlike Chris McCain who couldn't secure the job, which in turn would have kept Kelvin Sheppard, who has no business being out there, off the field.
