purely because i think, as its already been widely stated, he knows the system better. like saban said, it isnt because he is better or is ahead in the QB race but because he will be more comfortable.

if anything, i think this helps out feeley because when he gets his start he will be more familiar with the system...they are trying to give him as much, if not more oppurtunity as ferotte

opinions are welcome

I don't think it matters. I think Sage and Berlin will play most of the game.

I don't know that it matters who starts any of the preseason games. I actually think that Nick will play with the starting QBs just as a tool to play with the media. He knows what they can do, but if we see a QB start twice in a row, the media will go nuts. It'll be fun to see.

Besides, we have four pre-season games (I don't count the HOF game. Just calling it a pre-season game seems wrong). Give each QB a game.

The flaw in your theory is what opportunity will AJ get if Ferrotte is the starter ? Feeley needs to take the job now and be done with it if he is going to be "the man"...Ferrotte is nothing more than a journeyman backup who has proven to have issues when he is the undisputed starter...He has done well, on the other hand, coming off the bench in relief...

I could be wrong but wasn't there reports that said since A.J. Feeley is listed on the depth chart before the slash that he would start Monday, and then Gus would start the 2nd game?

Sage better win that battle I am friends with his sister and law and he is supposedly getting me tickets to the jets game... he better beat out berlin.

Sage will probably play the most. I think there is a chance that Berlin doesn't even get onto the field this game.

no, Saban said it was alphabetical. and then went on to say that the QB in front would be in the rear next time, not that AJ would start.

I think Gus starts in Canton, AJ in Jax, then Saban will throw a loop and start Turk in game 3, ala Tom Tupa

i KNOW that feeley will start. the reason is because, if gus knows the system so well, then why is it such a tight race in the beginning. imagine what feeley can do once he knows the system. he'll blow gus away. its tight now. but it wont be. aj wins the battle.

OH GOD NO!

I had enough of Berlins when he was on the Canes!!

Where is Scott Mitchell when you need him? :shakeno:

It is a meaningless game. It gives Berlin a chance to prove himself. That is why I think he plays at least the entire 4th quarter if not the entire second half

Yeah I know...

Berlin just gives us Cane fans the heebie-jeebies....

Never knew which Brock would show up...

In the shotgun, he's masterful. Under center, he's clueless.
