Here are my draft picks from this year:
1st Rounders:
Leon Hall – CB - Michigan (drafted GM: 16th overall, NFL: 18th overall)
Adam Carriker – DT - Nebraska (drafted GM: 19th overall, NFL: 13th overall)
Darrelle Revis – CB - Michigan (drafted GM: 23rd overall, NFL: 14th overall)
2nd Round:
Joe Staley – LT – Central Michigan (drafted GM: 40th overall, NFL: 28th overall)
3rd round:
Quincy Black – OLB – New Mexico (drafted GM: 97th overall, NFL: 68th overall)
4th Round:
Chris Henry – RB - Arizona (drafted GM: 103rd overall, NFL: 50th overall)
Laurent Robinson – WR – Illinois St (drafted GM: 110th overall, NFL: 75th overall)
5th round:
Gijon Robinson – FB – Missouri Western (drafted GM: 144th overall, NFL: undrafted)
(Signed a 3 year contract with the colts immediately following the draft)
I technically only reached on two players, and one of those I was only off by 2 slots. The other player happened to fill my last need, and was my final pick in the draft(was also the highest rated fullback on nfldraftcountdown.com that was still on the board IMO). Of all the players I drafted, at least half will end up starting early, and all are likely to contribute a great deal.
So all in all, I filled all my needs and got great quality with each pick and that why I think I had the best draft in the GM league.
