I am a Jets fan from theganggreen-dot-com
Let me first say I like this board. I like that the bold, italic, and underline buttons are so easily accessible.
Anyways, you guys should all be thinking that you're going to kill us Sunday, you have every reason to. However, In reality you should at 10 pts at least for the Jets and say we lost 27-17 because of 2 major screw ups that son't happen again. (easy drop in the endzone and a blocked/missed fg) Anyways, you guys know Pennington will not perform that badly again. Also, Coles and McCariens are solid receivers. I currently have no excuse for our O-line and blitz pickups though. The defence looked decent in the 2nd half Sunday and I think they are now where they need to be. The Dolphins have gained ground on the Jets, that's for sure, but they have not surpassed them. I don't only say this because I am a jets fan, its been agreed upon by all the "football people". Remeber last year's Falcons, they lost 56-10 to the Chiefs, and ended up in the NFC Championship. Should be a good game, I am sure we all expect a win from our team, and my assumption is that those sorry-*** Jets will take the win 24-13. You guys can come to our board if u want and harass us if you win.

I agree for the most part. I don't think you guys will play as bad as last game. The only real concern I have for this game is Frerotte being consistent. If he doesn't make mistakes then I see us winning. Should be an interesting game.

But you could say the same for us as you're allowing for your team, that mistakes cost us. Look at our first half, and how we would have been creaming the donkeys if all those before-the-snap penalties hadn't killed us, or the drops, or the lack of awareness on possible interceptions.

I think this Sunday's game is going to be a great game, as always. Good luck with injuries, and don't be sore losers.

That's a very reasonable assessment. In particular, I agree that a road game versus Kansas City is potential peril and Dolphin fans are overreacting to the significance of that lopsided defeat, in terms of how good the Jets are. Not just the Falcons game from last year. Kansas City also blew out the Colts and Broncos at home in 2004, scoring many more points on each of them than versus the Jets last week. Miami was trampled at KC a few years ago, a game that was even more lopsided than the score. We couldn't stop a play. You catch the Chiefs on the right day and don't match up with them well and they can terrorize you at their joint.

Don't forget our new philosophy. Mistakes will happen. It's how we react to those mistakes. Thats what the major difference is with Coach Saban. Lets face it. With Wanny as the coach we could screw up a free lunch. Thats not going to happen with Coach Saban at the helm. If we get beat, we'll get beat because we were out played, not because we beat ourselves. It's a whole new ballgame now. "if a rattle snake bites it self, it dies" Nick Saban.

Good post...The only thing I'm worried about in this game is the Dolphins O-line handling the crowd noise...

I expect our D to contnue to be dominant. In fact I expect it to improve. That will keep us in every game. My concern is the O. It was inconsistent in the preseason and it was inconsistent in game one.

I don't see how you can say this. It can happen again. WRs drop passes all the time. Kicks do get blocked, not a lot, but it happens. Who are you to say it won't happen this Sunday too?

I don't know whos going to win, but one thing I do know for sure is your team better come to play hard for 60 minutes.

I can guarantee you Nick Saban's Dolphins will, this is not the same Dolphins team you saw last year, this team will come at you physically for the entire game, and if the Jets don't come with that attitude they will be walking out with their arse handed to them just like the Donkey's did.

welcome to finheaven, i think the one thing were you could make no excuse for is the oline and blitz pickups, is the one reason miami will win, the oline will be confused i think, if saban starts to put pressure on

What he said!

I also get tired of the ignorace that sometimes prevails and makes all fans of a certain team look bad.

I'm positive that the Jets will not be the same team as they were last week. And the same goes for the Dolphins. Not one person will know until the final second is finished.

I think one of the biggest parts of this game is ALL the pressure is on the Jets. Miami can live with a 1-1 start. Miami has a new HC. Miami is the road team.
The Jets in some circles were looked at as a SB contender. Now if they lose Sunday, it would be a total collapse, and we might hear next March "With the 1st pick in the 2006 draft, the Jets select Matt Leinart, QB from USC"

This is going to be a tough game...

I think the Dolphins Defense shuts down the Jets running attack.. forcing Penny to throw more than he wants too. Resulting in a couple of int's and Miami wins 20-17.;)

I agree. The type of performance you put up last week isn't something that's likely to happen again. I think KC got lucky and played against you in the best possible week.

Another thing to remember is that your team, especially Pennington, will be playing with a chip the size of Mexico on their shoulders. They are going to come out fighting to redeem themselves.

That being said, if the Phins play like they did against Denver, who I still think is a good team, we can still win it.
