Why in the world do we need Gary Walker?

i know that we need depth but walker is 33. we can improve through the draft at the DT position. holday is moving to end as taylor moves to linebacker our defensive line looks like this:
E: Holliday
T: Traylor
E: Carter

where is the need?
 
Why do we need thread police?

Wright and Vickerson are still untested and unknowns. We need depth up the middle, and Capers is familiar with the guy. We dont want our second line of defense being untested rookies, or 2nd year players, one who is coming off injury. Ihave no problem getting a veteran to provide depth, you usually dont win with youth.

Same reason we considered Adams - to replace Traylor, who is 37 or 38 this year.

Depth.

And its easy to say "Just find a backup in the draft!" A) We dont have that many picks, and B) We technically already used one on a DT (Manny Wright)
