Why Ireland MUST be retained

The proof is in the pudding. Ireland has deftly got this franchise headed in the right direction with his savy acquisitions and draft picks. There are numerous players he's drafted contributing in a myriad of ways and that speaks to the genius in his scouting ability. You dont get into the position Ireland is in by being bad at your job. Hes been doing this for almost 6 years and i defy you to name 5 gms who've had that long of a tenure and were bad at their job. You cant so the only logical conclusion you can draw is that Ireland is really good at his job. Its math guys.

The worst decision this franchise could make would be to get rid of its greatest asset. Does getting rid of your best employee make your business better or worse? Worse of course so it doesnt make sense to want to get rid of Jeff. Makes no sense at all.

Due to Jeff, this team is really really close to being in the superbowl. I guarantee you all that next year we will win 13 games if Jeff has another offseason to build on the last outstanding offseason he had. The proof is in the pudding. Ross is no dummy. You dont get 5 billion dollars by being a dummy and he likes Jeff so there you guys. Its the obvious and its the right choice to keep him.

I know what im talking about. I have a PhD which automatically means I'm smarter than just about everyone here. You cant deny that. Who would you trust with a teams assessment? An intellectual with a PhD or yourself? I think ive made my point

Are you serious dude? To have a PhD is impressive but to actually say that you are smarter than everyone else on finheaven is not very modest, even if you are as smart as Jeff Ireland. However, interesting choice to go with the Sean Hannity pic. Straight away many of us begin to seriously question your intelligence. Although even modest New Mexicans with PhD's need someone to look up to. It may have been safer or dare I say smarter to go with a Tom Brady pic as a gag.
I agree that we need team stability first and foremost and keeping both Ireland and Philbin is the preferred path for one more year but put them on notice that 9 wins or less next year isn't going to cut it. Some people on here expect miracles although Tim Tebow will be busy on ESPN next year.

look at this roster of overachieving late round picks and udfa's. that happens when your early rounders and FAs bust. you get stuck with the poor man's version of a talented nfl roster. we have all of 2 players that opposing teams concern themselves with going into a game - mike wallace and cam wake - and even they can be considered limited in how they can hurt you.
