I see him being called The Robot practically everywhere. Whats the reasoning behind this?

Because he stays focused and unrattled while chaos rages around him? Hope that answers your "question."

His mechanics are horrible..in my opinion.. He doesnt move with instincts.. His moves are predictable in the pocket because his reaction is slow.

The first time I heard it was in one of the local beat writers TC blogs....he called him the robot because of his mechanics, he was extremely consistant reguardless of what was going on around him his mechanics never faultered.

no its because he shows zero emotion, like a robot

through the good and the bad he has the same demeanor, nothing to do with mechanics or anything like that

I heard it was because he's doesn't get overly emotional (up or down). He remains the same no matter what. I think the Herald had some comments from Porter about this.

Yay, the return of Newstradamus. Vaark you have more paternity cases than an NBA allstar. By the way could you look in your crystal ball and see what percentage of Fin fans will complain about Henne's mechanics if the Fins win on Sunday, and what will be the EC high and low next week.

I heard it is about his emotions also. Who cares about his mechanics just get the job done WIN!!!!!!!

His emotions are always calm.......never too "up", never too "down".

It's a positive trait for a QB to have. Will not get rattled.

Don't mistake that to mean he doesn't "care" and/or lacks "fire/passion".

He is absolutely a competitor, which is part of the reason why he's been a 4 year starter at the High School level (impressive for a freshman just out of junior high), and again a 4 year starter at Michigan (again very impressive).

TY and in answer to your questions I'll quote that great sage Bob Dylan:
"You don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows."
