There has got to be some cap related logic as to why his suspended @$$ is still on this club's roster. Can someone enlighten me? I want the satisfaction of a farewell thread.

Financial. He will most likely be cut this month and it saves money.

The talent is there, unfortunately he's like a big talented empty vessel, with no one at the controls. Truth is, if a guy like Chip gets his hands on him, and if miraculously he can completely change around his entire lifestyle, he could be a very effective olb in Chip's scheme if no one else's imo. There's a reason he's been trying to pry him from us for years now.

I am 95% sure this is strictly financial at this point. He will be cut to free a roster spot at some point I am sure.

We're still holding out for that warm 6-pack of Schlitz from Chip.

I'm guessing it's because he's suspended, so we don't have to pay him and he's not taking a roster spot and cutting him right now does nothing for us in cap numbers. Maybe they think Chip will still give us something for him within the next year? Chip has like 15 LB's, so why not one more?

Still an asset. Believe it or not.

No he is not, he has no trade value now

Chip Kelly.

Chip Kelly offered a later round pick this year, how does he hold that value lol

I don't think he will be on the roster for much longer, he shouldn't still be getting paid
