Yes we lost.
Yes we didn't make the plays that needed to be made
And yes we still have a problem with stupid penalties.

But consider this, The writing was on the wall from the first snap, that it was the Jet's game to win. I'm not much for superstition, but all the fumbles, miscues and lame duck throws made by Pennington and the Jets we couldn't get one lucky bounce. Even though the Jets didn't score when Martin fumbled into the Endzone, I knew it was over when the ball bounced right into a Jet's hands.

If Miami recovers one of the few fumbles that the Jets had (which literally is all about where the ball bounces) everyone here would be talking about playoffs and Divison leaders in the AFCE and how terrible the Jets are.

Some times it comes down to how the ball bounces.

I'm not taking anything from the Jets, because they made plays when they counted, however When you stack up our team against theirs, I don't see a a big difference in talent. (Mind you this inlcudes the coaching staff as well)

I will be shocked if Miami loses at home to the Jets in DEC, with a healthy RW and RB in our backfield an a growing OL that needs time to gel.

Keep in mind the Pass protection has been solid only surrendering 2 sacks over two games, our run blocking will eventually begin to materialize.

This isn't one of those cheer up the glass is half full threads, This is more of a we beat ourselves more than we got beat by a supposedly playoff/SB contender team.

Nick Saban is going to do great things in the NFL.

A bunch of people were riding high on the trampling of the Broncos.
But the loss just brang them down, or for the more tempered persons, down to earth.

cause we're supposed to be 16-0, one loss on the road to a tough team is unacceptable, bench all the starters and fire nick saban!

The Dolphins will be very good when the OL get better.

And in December if RW doesn't start, RB I'm sure will be less dancing around.

But we do know that we're good at home.

I thought we played pretty well. I would have liked to seen us throw the deep ball more, but overall not too bad. Our OLine will get better as the year goes on and hopefully we cut down on the pre snap penalties. We are making progress and that's a good thing.

I'm actually confused on the Martin fumble thing because how much different is it when a WR last year from philly fumbled right into (omg cant think of his name now) his hands and it was a TD.

i thought that fumble they should have ruled it dead on forward progress, he was held there not moving then the ball came popping out, the fumble shouldn't have even come into play...

Sometimes I feel like staying away from this board because people like to ruin the fun. Gees, there was some good football from both teams this past Sunday. Some sloppy football and some good football. Well fought games from both teams. We are the underdog in every game we play. Some people don't realize that. I think we've taken some giant steps in the right direction. Can someone tell me how many TD's oposing defenses scored in the 1st 2 games of last year and how many the've scored in the first two games this year? I think someone of us(fin fans) have set the bar way too high after 1 win. Don't get me wrong I think we are/can be playoff contenders, but I'm not going to cry a river if we don't make it. I know that next year if we go 8-8 this year is going to be something stellar to look forward to. Please people lets support our team and not bash them for losing a game. Against a pre-season pick to go deep in playoffs by most analysts.

cause the player fumbling on fourth down (where a change of possession is at stake) is the only player that can recover. Anybody else recovers and it's an illegal play, by default, and the defense takes over of downs.

Good post.

I am already on record in another thread predicting we won't lose the next time we face the Jests.
