Why is everybody sold on McIntosh starting?

I'm not sold on anyone really on our O-line, I do feel though that as of now Damion McIntosh looks to be the best option at LT until proven otherwise. I'd like to see him get a full offseason and a full season with Houck (and I think it's an advantage to him that Houck has coached him once before.)

He needs to cut the False Starts.

please enlighten me on how carey is gonna make it as a LT if he couldnt even play RG last year?

The O-Line coach last year was not very good. All of our O-lineman looked lost last year at times. I don't think Carey is LT material but Houck will check it out to see.

Judging Carey based on last year would be a bad thing to do.

fair enough, but you would think that a 1st rounder could have made an impact last year with the lack of talent that was competing against him.

When concentrated hes an Orlando Pace

I think if Mcintosh were half as good as Pace the Chargers would not of let him go. I don't think Carey is a viable option at LT because he's really never played there, so it comes down to Wade Smith vs Mcintosh. I'm not gonna write Smith off like many others but I think Mcintosh will improve dramatically with being reuinited with Hudson Houck. I don't think St. Clair will be our LT, because unlike most others I believe he'll beat out Stockar McDougle and start at RT. People don't want to write off Feeley yet, but if Carey does not start that may end up being a much bigger bust than Feeley has been so far. Vince Woolfork would definately be a starter and be a much bigger help than Carey will be IMO, but like always hindsight is 20/20.

Well I Like The Guy He Is The Best Lt We Have On The Roster And We Are Going To Play The Best Player At That Position Regardless Of What They Make.

More like Tony Wise and Wanny said this is what you gotta do, he then looked at them and said "Whaaa?" The O-line was confused with the system or lack of one for assigning blocks. Carey has some talent, Houck will get whatever he has out of him. If not, Walmart is hiring.

I don't care who is starting on our O-Line. I have faith in Houck to make the right decisions.

I know he battled injuries last year, but I don't think he was that impressive. Yet, it seems in every mock lineup I've seen, McIntosh is penciled in as the starting LT. Is there something I'm missing? St. Clair was our best OL (I know, not saying much the way that group played), so I think he deserves to be the starter going in, with McDougle as the RT. McIntosh would provide outstanding depth, but he's going to have to really prove it in camp to earn the starting spot on the most important position on the line.

out of all the turds on our line, he has the most corn

Who else can play LT? Who else? Smith, come on! Vernon I'm too fat and lazy Carey (actually a guard) come on! Maybe St. Clair. Houck, you worked wonders with Mcintosh before, earn your big bucks!

We've got four left tackles that probably should be right tackles (St. Clair, McIntosh), guards (Carey) or delivering pizzas (Smith). Let's hope Houck can make chicken salad from chicken feathers.
