I dont post much but most of the reactions about Culpepper signing have been negitive and i have to ask why? There was even one person that claimed to stop being a fan of the dolphins because we got Culpepper and not Brees. Let's look at the facts here. Brees chose money over Miami. Im not saying that was wrong on his part, just a fact. He may be another Pennington, same type of injury. Culpepper's injury should heal just fine. It's the same injury Mcgahee had in college and last i checked he's running fine. Finally, Miami goes and gets a QB that is proven in this league, a top 5 QB..not a backup. Speaking as a true fan, im all for Culpepper being here. We havent had a good QB since Marino in 99. So please, stop crying about not signing Brees...stop saying Miami made a mistake and start supporting your team.

I guess that is why ESPN (aka the Patriots broadcast network) is saying the pats are now chasing the phins for the AFC East!!! So maybe now the pats will only be 6 games back instead of 9.....:cooldude:

Everyone is down because we were hoping to get a real quarterback. Culpepper proved how bad he was last year (without Moss) BEFORE he was injured. Our only hope is that he can't pass the medical.

Miami made a mistake by signing Culpepper.... I will NEVER EVER stop being a Dolphin fan :dolphins: but signing Culpepper honestly ws the worst news I have learned since finding out W was going to be our leader for 4 more years.. I can almost promise you by about week 4 people will be screaming to put in Gus, Brock Berlin, etc. One of Culpepper's biggest issues that I have witnessed during his career is his abiltiy to fumble the ball so well at the drop of a hat :tantrum: I am not a big Randy Moss fan, but Randy made Culpepper look really good. Chambers better practice his one handed behind the back catches in drill practice that's all I got to say...

1. Did you see how poorly Culpepper played last year BEFORE the injury? He was terrible. Like he'd lost the edge or something. That makes it questionable to begin with.

2. Brees' injury is not the same as Pennington. This has been enumerated on here a number of times. Pennington injured a different part of his shoulder that is much more difficult to heal.

3. Character issues. Not only was Culpepper the ring-leader of the sex cruise, but he also was a big part of the break up of the Vikings team that was a Super Bowl contender just a few years ago. He's a jerk toward his teammates, and is an explosion on the sidelines waiting to happen. If you want the Dolphins to be on ESPN a lot Culpepper is your guy, but not for good reasons.

The Dolphins should have ponied up for Brees. The guy was coming off two straight Pro Bowls.

Everyone needs to stop the Moss made him thing

1- In Culpeppers best season he threw for 4700 yards, only 700 were to moss, Moss also only had 48 receptions that year

2- A lot of his fumbleing came when he was younger and running all over the place, in recent years it has seemed to improve

It is beyond me as to why people are unhappy..This is the most optimistic i've been as a dolphin fan in a long time..we have a great talent at qb now something we haven't had in a long time and he actually wants to be here!!! come on fellow fin fans we are headed in the right direction!! be happy and stop bit$%in and moanin!!

It doesn't matter how many receptions or yards Moss had. He drew so much coverage that it left others open. There's more impact than simply how much he catches and for how many yards. Also, Culpepper is older than Brees and is a fumble case.

It was a new system and some new recievers to get comfortable with. How many years did Brees take to become a legit QB in this league?

2. Brees' injury is not the same as Pennington. This has been enumerated on here a number of times. Pennington injured a different part of his shoulder that is much more difficult to heal.

Both CP and Brees' injuries worried me, one can argue both ends of there injuries.

3. Character issues. Not only was Culpepper the ring-leader of the sex cruise, but he also was a big part of the break up of the Vikings team that was a Super Bowl contender just a few years ago. Brees does have the advantage here. But look at what Saban did with Ricky. Tice let his guys fight like pre schoolers, Saban won't put up with that.

The Dolphins should have ponied up for Brees. The guy was coming off two straight Pro Bowls.

again, before those 2 probowl seasons, he was on the eve of beeing benched for a rookie. Now he has a shoulder injury to an already average arm.

Listen I had concerns with both QB's but the facts are we needed an upgrade, and we got one. Besideds look around the internet, every article I've read says we got a steal.
