the thing I keep hearing is that we must have ricky all good before the nfl draft starts?!?!? tell me why...is it for trade purposes?can we get like a pick for or something? I'll appreciate it if you guys can help me out with that topic.

If a running back is there in the mid-late rounds that is a value pick, you draft him because of the need. If Ricky can play, you don't even bother looking at drafting a running back.

and that's all there is to it.

yeah for trade purposes and to maybe pick up a RB if Ricky's not here. But I think we wouldn't get anymore than a 4th rounder at the most. I'd rather have Ricky than a 4th rounder that could end up being a dud any day of the week.

Tell me then Forrest, don't you think a running back selected on the second day of the draft (likely the 7th round) would be behind Morris and Minor on the depth chart?

LenDale White has turned into the Pillsbury doughboy and wouldn't run the 40 during try outs....LenDale may have eaten himself out of the first round.

If Ricky doesn't win the appeal, I'm fine with Brown, Morris, and Minor as our 3 main backs, possibily Kay-Jay as a fourth.

I doubt it, not the way he ran in the championship game. He will be a late first rounder no matter how bad his work-outs were.

Ronnie will be in the same class as Larry Johnson very soon...but, there is no better insurance policy to have than Ricky, both to take some of the load or carry it if god for bid something happens to Brown!

Only training camp will tell that.

To see if we need to draft a running back in the later rounds.:dolphins:
