What is the main reason Mike Shula isn't being talked about by many fans or the media as a serious candidate for the Miami job?
Is it because of his experience at Alabama? It's not like he was a failure there. He came in during NCAA sanctions and posted a winning record during his four years there including a 10-2 season and a Cotton Bowl victory.
He's done it as a player and he's been a successful coach in the NFL for years also. And you can't argue with his pedigree.
I'm not here saying he should be hired because I admittedly don't know a lot about him personally or professionally. I only want the coach who would do the best job of bringing the Dolphins back to being a dominant franchise.
However, how incredible would it be for another Shula to be the one to give rise to a new championship era for the Dolphins? You couldn't write a better script...
So, what is the problem most people have with Mike Shula?
