Guy is garbage. And WTF is that tattoo he has? Murtha was awful last season when he got PT when Long went down and he was awful tonight.

The fins have spent 3 first round draft picks on 3 OL men and Long seems to be the only one to have panned out. Jerry... playing deep into the 3rd qtr, Pouncey, hardly got reps.
 
What do you mean we spent three firat rounders on OL. Long, Pouncey, and who?
 
I have to rewatch, but he didn't seem to play that bad to me. He held up well in pass protection. The interior part of the oline is far more worrisome IMO.
 
He might be starting over Columbo, don't hate him too much! lol
 
Stop being down on Murtha! That guy's cornfed. He's eaten corn. Lots of it! CORN! That makes you indispensable to this team and I won't have someone disagree! Lots of corn!

I really don't see 5 guys worth starting roles on this roster. Ireland needs to go back into FA and scrape up whatever is leftover. This OL looked HORRIBLE last night.
 
And I agree that it was stupid not to give Pouncey more playing time last night. The kid has barely played center at any level. We've already had reports of him struggling with shotgun snaps in camp. Either move him to LG or give him as many snaps as possible at center in preseason to get his snaps and line calls down.

I love how Matty Ice and Turner the Burner weren't too important to play preseason last night, but Bush - who has a lot to prove as a feature back - and Marshall - who also keeps dropping balls - were too cool for school. Lame!

Here are some guys drafted AFTER we drafted John Jerry in round 3 last year:

Major Wright - think he's starting at S for CHI
Emmanuel Sanders - deep threat WR for PIT
Colt McCoy - starting QB for CLE (at the very least, better than Henne)
Taylor Price - speed receiver looks promising for NE
Tony Moeaki - great looking TE for KC
Jimmy Graham - awesome looking TE for the Saints

Guess there was no way for Parcells/Ireland to know that Jimmy Graham was going to be good since his talents were being hidden HERE IN MIAMI AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI!!!!
 
But oh wait, 5 days ago everyone was hailing him as a competent starter, after stonewalling everyone in practice
