Btw, where was Charles Clay last night? I didn't see one play go to him. Is he not gonna even be the backup TE? I don't get it - he's not a good lead blocking FB. Is Daboll's offense just not gonna use a FB? I didn't like that one running play called in the red zone with Sheets going weak side with no TE or FB to that weak left side and the play got stuffed.

Call me skeptical but I don't see Reggie Bush running it up the gut with no lead back. He's never been able to do that.
 
Murtha is still on the team because by moving Carey to G, not only do we have no depth at OT, but we actually only have 1 worthwhile starter at OT (who of course happens to be injured).

so in your arguement that only one has panned out, you dont even give pouncey one game before saying he hasnt panned out? come on! And Carey had been a good OT in the past and to say he hasnt panned out is kinda stupid too.

but i do agree that murtha isnt very good
 
Can't be cornfed unless it's cornbread.. The body does not proccess corn it comes out whole.
 
Murtha is so bad lol. His tattoo is really stupid as well. Hopefully Tony can put this O-line together for once and make it like it was back in 09

Long has been worth the pick. It was just going to be too wordy talking about pouncey, who we haven't seen play yet. He might be good, I still don't think he was worthy of a first round pick though.

There was a play last night that just stood out to me. Some time in the 2nd qtr I think. Run play, murtha is backing up, takes a step out side, gets beat inside then pushes the blocking fb down, misses his block and just falls over. As long as he's going 100% i guess...
 
I agree murtha sucks. I am wondering why we don't have something better as a backup.

I figured everyone can channel the hate for Henne into one thread where everyone agrees on how bad 1 player is. There's no doubt in my mind that one dolphins fan believes Murtha is good enough to make the roster.

The first time Columbo gets beaten like a rented mule and causes a sack/fumble you'll like Murtha a lot more.
 
Not only is Columbo struggling, Carey just does not give two craps. You can stick a piece of C4 up Vernons assssss and it would not motivate the guy. Rookie center and our complete RS of the Oline is bad. No, its not he is getting used to playing guard, that may be a small part of it. Fact is, Vernon cashed in his big contract and cashed his chips in along with it. As I said, completely unmotivated player. He could care less if they cut him at the end of the season, as I said, he has his coin in the bank and thats all folks. Believe it or not, thats what it is.
 
Colombo just needs to eat more corn. And rumor has it, all you have to do is show a photo of a guy eating corn to Ireland and the guy will get a tryout.
