Why is no one blaming the lack of pass rush?

Let's get this straight here.

The pass rush- sucked
The coverage- sucked

We shouldn't be blaming one of them, we should blame both. But let's not act like Sapp or Carroll couldn't cover their guys because of something the guys up front were doing.

The pass rush is my main concern after Monday. Last year we got it mainly by having our guys beat their guys. Not many crazy Jet-blitzes, or confusing 3-4 zone blitz stuff. We lined up and got to the QB with man-on-man talent up front. Monday worries me because we got nothing out of supposedly talented players. Can't win a game if we lose every one-on-one matchup on the line of scrimmage. Nolan probably won't change our scheme with additional exotic blitzes; the lacking pass-rush is solely on the players, which worries me more.

That being said, the pats short passing game makes it tough. have to push inside and try to get hands in Brady's face/passing lanes when he's only taking 3 step drops.
