Why is no one talking about Sean Lee??

This guy can play both ILB and OLB. 6-2, 230. Played for a top 15 D and was a essential part of the program. I think we should pick this guy up even though I know everyone here is dying for McClain or Spikes. This guy would be a HUGE STEAL in round 3.

No one is talking about Sean Lee because they feel he is smaller than what Parcels and Ireland is looking for in an OLB/ILB. Although the selection of JD Folsom last year should dismiss that.

Agreed. He did blow his knee out but he's 6-2, 235, can put on weight, is instinctive, active and can cover. I'd rather have him in 3rd rd and take Dez Bryant in the 1st than get McLain It's a confusing draft and a confusing #12 slot. If Bryant is gone I'd rather trade down and take best need position player available. I still like Benn in the 2nd- for all of the criticism, his QB and head coach blew- his whole team blew for that matter. He's fast, physical, great size, can get yac and can return kicks. And although I'm flying pretty much blind on this one, I'd take Mike Williams in the 4th. We need firepower in a league that caters to, nay bends over, for the passing game. Add Sean Lee in the 3rd, a good FS and LB either in FA or the draft and we're looking good. We need talent at one critical offensive position (WR), and it ususally doesn't come cheaply either in terms of money or draft picks. We can't count on striking gold with a Mike Wallace or Louis Murphy in the middle rounds. The offense is consitipated. Clear the pipes.

The 2nd rd pick should be interesting, maybe Dan Williams. Again, I'd rather trade down in the 1st and p[ick up an extra 2nd. Maybe you pick up a Jerry Hughes or an Earl Thomas after you slide down in the 1st. Maybe an Arrelious Benn in the late 1st. or use the extra 2nd to take a Lafell, Tate or Gilyard. Who knows.

I'd much rather get McClain in the first, Arrelious Benn or Golden Tate in the second and Sean Lee in the 3rd. We need 2 starting ILB's in my opinion as Crowder and Ayodele just suck.

I could live with that pretty well.

I thought he had just sprained it once until I read up on that. Ur right..he had a torn ACL. I'm a bit less confident now about him. Knee injuries just don't go away. It will deal with more wear n tear int he NFL. Its a bit more of a risk than I had thought in the 3rd round. ==

I've been through the ACL thing, they heal. Look at what Frank Gore is doing on two ACL reconstructions.

Bill and Jeff drafted Kevin Burnett and used him as a 3rd down ILB and that's also what they saw in JD Folsom.

“The scout from Miami looked at him early last Fall and liked what he saw. They plan to use him on the inside on third-down coverage and on special teams,” said WSU head coach Ron McBride" Link~http://www.examiner.com/x-2306-Utah-Sports-Examiner~y2009m4d27-NFL-Draft-Weber-State-inside-linebacker-JD-Folsom-shocks-all-when-drafted-in-seventh-round

Also Kevin and JD are the same height and are only 4 pounds difference in weight......................So it's a reinforcement of how they draft not a dismissal.

It should also be pointed out to foozool13 that Bill doesn't care ether. He drafted Curtis Martin in the 3rd and he was coming off an injury/bad knee......................But Bill didn't care because when he drafts someone he only plans to have them for a few years anyways so he doesn't care if the guy won't be able to play some years down the road.

I'd rather have Micah Johnson if we're gonna take a guy with a bum knee. I see what you're saying about Sean Lee but Pat angerer is a healthy version of Sean Lee. I'd take him in the 4th but I don't still want to be looking for a defensive signal caller in the 4th round. All that being said, the kid has some kind of heart, he's a fighter and I love that about him.

If we're taking guys 230-240lbs I'd prefer Pat Angerer outta Iowa.....and that's all I have to say about that.

I think that Angerer is under six feet tall. I really can't see Angerer being drafted ahead of Sean Lee.

what's edds measurements???

i like the poor mans or something along those lines brian cushing that ck made reference to with edds...

i see the similarities there
