The play where Jarvis was the target and he tipped the ball for the pick was obvious pass interference. I went back and watched it several times and there was no doubt. The defender reached around and grabbed Landry's left arm (Landry's back side arm) 6 frames before the ball got to him. The hand that reaches out to catch the ball is the backside arm, which was nearly pinned to his side long before the ball got there. If that is allowed no WR will EVER catch a pass. That interception was the play of the game. Everything changes if that doesn't happen. At worse we have the ball with a chance to win it at the end.

One thing I see happening is that games are called different the more important the game. Playoff games are called a lot different than regular season games, and big regular season games are called different than early regular season games. As a coaching staff you have to be prepared to change the way you play to some degree. They were molesting Wallace so bad it was pitiful at times. If they are letting them get away with it you have to be willing to take chances on 3rd down or important situations. I think the more we get chances to play in these types of games the better we will become, but as of right now we haven't been there enough. IMO.

But back to my original question, why is no one discussing the PI on Landry. The DB had a hold of his arm a full second before the ball got there. I thought they were going to be tighter on those types of calls this year. That no call changed the outcome of the game.

Because at that point we're playing desperate football. If the freaking defense did half of their job then we wouldn't have been in that position. Anything else?

Never a shortage of "moral victory" and "blame the officials" thread after a loss.

When you start complaining about the refs, you might as well be sporting silver and black and be calling yourself a Raiders fan. Yeah it was questionable but it was not real time overtly obvious. Bad calls happen to everyone. Good teams play through them.

All I picture is Larry David at a keyboard every time you post. Lol.

Refs have been fairly decent this year. The supposed PI call on Landry would have been a ticky-tac foul IMO. I was more upset about the blatant tripping Wes Welker committed on the 2-point conversion...not that the DB would have gotten there in time to prevent the score but man that was awful.

Denver's offense just took it to our defense...plain and simple.

It was a horrible call. Not even a close one. But it was brought up in this thread by Skapefin last night. He's even got frame by frame of it. Of course he was mostly flamed by posters accusing him of making excuses and what not.

But to me, it was not just a "bad call" at the wrong time, it was a game-changing call on a CLEAR HOLD. It's easy to just say "oh, you have to over-come those plays" but when there's 5 minutes left in the game and the refs miss a call that puts the other team in position to go ahead by TWO SCORES, that's more than just a "bad call".

The refs were horrible last night and in a league with so much parity, its much easier for a single call to change the outcome of a game. The refs need to do a better job, period.

How was that easy money ktown denver didn't cover

I think Denver is like the 3rd most penalized team in the NFL. As to why no interference? The ball clearly skidded across a defensive lineman's pads on the way to Landry.

Because unless Tannehill led the offense to a go-ahead TD with at most 5 seconds remaining, the defense would've blown the game anyway.

Ktown, you are correct. They just haven't been there enough. Painful as losses like this are they are essential in learning what it takes to close out games. On the interception, it was a good no call because it hit a Bronco lineman in the shoulder pad. Of course, the damn ball has to float right into the arms of a Denver player. This team has to learn to win these kind of games. That's 3 games that we had that we let slip away. What does it tell us, we're just not good enough yet. But Lazor and this offense are getting better every week. The defense has to stop folding in crunch time. It would be nice if we had a lot less injuries. Why do the Football Gods hate us. Did Shula make a deal with the Devil for the '72 season? Is Philbin the right guy?? On the 3rd and 20 the defense was confused, I was screaming for a time out!!!! WTF????????? and we get burned and they get 7. That's on the coach!!! He's a jerk for not seeing the problem, calling a TO and getting set up correctly for the play. It may not have changed the outcome but we would have lined up differently and maybe stopped them. I would have liked that chance.

The offense and defense has to work together. Some games the offense are rolling and some games the defense is. The other team gets paid too, and most of our defense was on the sideline injured. The defense wasn't good but there have been games where the offense wasn't too good either.

Sorry, I didn't look beyond the first page to see if anyone had already posted about it. To me it was the single most important play of the game. I just thought more would be said about it.
