Why is the defense getting a pass?

i honestly dont blame the defense. They kept us in games pretty much all year. I wouldve liked to see more of a pass rush today from the d-line but overall i cant be that mad at the D.

Defense has regressed under Philbin. They get no pass from me. The inability to get Dion Jordan involved is on the coaching staff. Start him over Wheeler for god sakes. We sign 2 LBs because supposably their better pass rushers but yet we blitz them less than dansby and Burnett. We take Taylor and Davis in the early rounds and they haven't made a play all year. The tackling today was atrocious! No effort in what was essentially a playoff game. Not good enough! Clean house!

Wheeler and Ellerbe have been extremely disappointing.

Can't expect the defense to win us every game.

Our offense only.scored over 30 points once this season. All other scores have been 24 or lower (mainly lower).

When you finish top 10 in Scoring Defense and finish 27th in scoring offense . . . including 7 points in your final 8 quarters . . . why shouldn't the focus be on the offense?

Stats are misleading as always. How many times did the offense score this year only to have the defense lay an egg on the next drive to negate the score?

What about last week? would a pass rush been good then too against a backup? How about an interception? I've heard those are good.

it just seemed like when the offense was doing well the d would let the other team counter....then when the offense was stagnant the D would play good. It seems the dolphins couldnt never get everything on the same page and im not talking about this year or last year or the year before. Im talking in as long as i can remember.

We haven't stopped the run all year.Only turnovers have saved them in games..That's why our scoring defense is ranked so high...What's our rank in rush defense?
It's been a lot more than just these two past games.

Because we didnt lose on defense. The jets had 14 points entering the 4th. The bills had 10 points entering the 4th while we had 0. Lol the offense is just putrid. the defense did enough to keep us in the game. Tannehill kept overthrowing wallace, and wallace kept dropping most balls that came his way. The o-line is attrocious, and sherman must be butt buddies with henning.

Does that explain their HORRIBLE tackling all year.

Call me when our D doesn't get drug up and down the field..They haven't stopped the run all year.

The only person who stood out to me on this defense when it came to stopping the run was Koa Misi. Wheeler and Ellerbe were useless when it came to stopping the run. They really better start working on their game and learn how to tackle. That was embarrassing watching ellerbe try to tackle geno smith today on that td.

I completely agree but I am not letting the defense get a pass regardless of what the offense did. The fact remains that our secondary and certain linebackers need to be replaced. They are not nearly as good as their points against positioning tries to imply.

our de's crashed allday long to stop the read op cause the lbs are so god damn awful filling gaps properly...horrendous...ellerbe on the smith like statue of liberty td play is just awful...wtf is he doing...did you not tape study miami and see that they run the read op and run the damn qb a lot of late or that they dont trust him in the tight red thuis call qb sneaks...f that the dc sucked balls today too

if smith had kept it the only adjustment we made in the 2nd half on the zone read was rushing the ss jones to the ball...the de's did not play contain at all cause they have to backside make the play vs the inside run game cause the damn lbs are so lost

nolan carroll also has put together back to back stinker games...
