I have yet to hear a single national media person acknowledge that Martin walked out of the team shortly after having his preferred position and struggles at RT the day before.

Unless there was a recent event between Cog and Martin that has not yet been reported, the timing does not support the bullying angle, it supports a stress angle related to performance issues.

Yes, he broke down after a prank, but it was a prank he himself participated in many times with seemingly no issues. Why would this event be the catalyst? Because he was already having a bad day and was stressed out due to performance issues and position change!

How is he media completely missing out on this? The bullying angle would only make sense if the VM was from a week ago.

Because they dont have any evidence there was a breakdown. Thats Finheaven being Finheaven.

The only thing they have alluding to that is Martin's hospital visit. And they've reported that. Constantly.

They cant make the jump and make a diagnosis from that. Could you imagine if they got it wrong, the liability of it? Shattering.

People like to beat up the media because its a convenient target. Its everywhere and nowhere, bias can be accused but never has to be proven. But they have to be really damn careful when it comes to this stuff. Because if they get something like that wrong, Martin could eat them alive. As he should, just like Josh Freeman should eat alive the Bucs for releasing his medical information.

The 'N' word acts as a magnet and pulls all the attention toward it and away from every other possible explanation for this situation.

To take it one step further, I honestly believe he has had the Monday after the Pats game circled on his calender for weeks.

Think about it: The Dolphins play back-to-back Prime Time games, with 11 days between said games. Martin is no dummy and I'm sure he knew that this is the time to maximize the exposure of the situation and get the media, casual or non-football fans and anyone that can be swayed on his side.

Lucky for us, about 95 percent (or higher) see right through Martin for the snake that he really is. If he torpedoes this season, I will hate him 1,000 times more than I ever hated Ricky Williams in 2004.

Well he struggled at RT all of last year and didnt break down so not sure thats as big of a factor as made out to be. Martin was moved because McKinnie cant play RT for one , the whole line was struggling

Don't you find it fishy that Martin was only in the hospital for hours before Mommy and Daddy came cross-country to pick him up and take him home? If he was really emotionally and/or mentally ill, wouldn't the hospital at least keep him overnight for observation?

It actually has been mentioned often in articles. It's simply being overshadowed by the voicemail.

Well played by the Martin camp.

I believe Martin is not in control. His agents, parents, lawyers are pulling the strings. He probably wanted to leave football and be done with it. BUT then he wouldn't get paid. SO his money hungry entourage had to play out the ploy in order to get the $$$$$$$. All i know is this story feels like a roller coaster! Just when you think the ride is done, there is another drop waiting to take your breath away.

If he torpedos the .500 season we are already having

Have you seen our 2nd half schedule? Not saying any game is a given, but there's a strong possibility that we would go 6-2 in the final 8 games. Now, I'm not so sure. Our performance against Tampa will be telling and IMO will make or break the season. Never thought I'd say that about a game against a winless team, but it is what it is.

No the N word was quite fine becaue Wallace and Pouncey say so lol
Personally be glad if that word is ever erased from human memory due to ignorance of the people that continue to use and think there is some humor in it.

I'm keeping quiet on formulating a true opinion until all sides have spoken. Right now, all we're hearing from are people around the situation but who are not either of the two parties involved. I still think there are more layers to this onion that have yet to be pulled back

I'd imagine that there was an enormous amount of pressure on the offensive line. We've given up the most sacks in the nfl this year. Think to Hard Knocks when Sherman screamed at Egnew and Clay. Imagine that pressure week in and week out. The meeting rooms must have been hell. The feeling that the whole team, with people all the way up the organizational hierarchy was demanding answers and blaming you after a loss- and there was 4 in a row.

No doubt Incognito was part of the problem. But the root of the problem was more likely he just couldn't handle the amount of pressure on him, and getting demoted from his left tackle spot was what tipped the scales.

Okay, so now there was no breakdown?

This is exactly what im talking about. I have no doubt "the media" is digging up whatever they can from what happened in that hospital. If Martin is faking this and they break the story, they win. Money, fame, rockstar treatment, etc. But they have to be extremely careful when it comes to medical information. And thats a good thing in my opinion.

IMHO Martin was having other issues ( romantic, financial, family) and the prank push him over the edge. He didn't know it meant getting put on the NFI list and losing $37K every week he wasn't there. When his agent found out he went into damage control and had to find a scape-goat. In a brainstorming session, Martin brought up the voicemail and it was off to the races.
