Why is the media completely glossing over the timing of Martin's breakdown??

1)Having feelings that the NFL life isn't for him and or mental struggles,wants to quit(This is the biggest question)
2)OTA's Martin hearing negative chatter about his not showing for involuntary OTA's and performance .Getting ribbed by Cogs
3)Getting thrown from the left to the right side week prior to melt down.
4)Prank which was played on Garner the week before which I'm sure he knew about but decided it's a good time to bail.

So true! Finally fully annoyed with the bully talk about Incognito. The NFL season is a grind and wears on you physically & mentally. Was Turner the Offensive line coach too much for him? Sherman too hard on him week in and week out? Martin maybe wasn't tough enough for the NFL, J. Long, Incognito, and Pouncey were by far the best parts of the o-line last year. More was asked of Martin this year and he couldn't handle it.

why hasnt the media eat up rappers ?? the N word is in a hell of a lot of the rap songs ,a NFL Locker Room isnt for the Timid or the Weak , you have got to be strong minded , and I for one think the N word shouldnt be used at anytime Never!!!! But it is , you have got to have a strong mind , you cant let little stuff such as a Joke or prank bother you , play the game and roll on , a NFL Locker Room is a Brother Hood of 53 men that makes the Team , and That sticks together through thick and thin , NO MATTER WHAT , what you see hear and do in there , Leave It right there in the Locker Room , its for the Guys in the Locker Room NOT FOR THE MEDIA , NEVER , and Martin Broke the TRUST OF ALL HIS TEAM MATES , and IMO there might be a franchise that might want to give him a chance , BUT he will NEVER get the TRUST from TEAM MATES on the Dolphins or Any other Team or players on any team , Martin Broke the Code , by taking this to the media (snitching) and there wont be any teams players would want him on there Team ,in a statement by Martins Lawyers , that Martin wants to play Football again at sometime ? huh , i cant see that happening because he will be rejected by any and all players of the NFL , he might go try canada , but i cant see it there either , but IMO Martin is the one that is the problem , and if i was Richie i would get a Lawyer and fight this till the wheels fell off , alot of people that hasnt ever played Football dosent know how and what a football locker room is ,and im not talking about Grade School football , a NFL locker room is a Mental and physical place for MEN to Bond together , show your toughness on the field , your mental toughness in the Locker Room and grow a bond with the guys on your team , if Martin did have a problem he should have went to Coach Philbin with it , not the Media , the locker room in Miami is no diffrent than any other in the NFL,, ALL 32 Teams is all the same , laughing , Joking , cutting up ,acting a fool , pulling pranks on each other exc. and Martin is in the wrong sport if he thinks its anything diffrent , to many people coming to the aid of COG and i hope that the NFLPA gets the resolved soon and they let Richie back on the Team .
 
OP mentioned the timing. How about this timing .
The walkout occurred just before two nationally televised games to ensure maximum media exposure. The monday night game may have the best rating ever.
The have probably been planning this for months.
 
Speaking of racism and bullying, I'm kinda surprised we haven't heard from the President on this issue.

Unless there was a recent event between Cog and Martin that has not yet been reported, the timing does not support the bullying angle, it supports a stress angle related to performance issues.

Yes, he broke down after a prank, but it was a prank he himself participated in many times with seemingly no issues. Why would this event be the catalyst? Because he was already having a bad day and was stressed out due to performance issues and position change!

How is he media completely missing out on this? The bullying angle would only make sense if the VM was from a week ago.

Because the truth doesn't fit with the narrative they want to push forward...plain and simple. It's despicable, irresponsible journalism run a muck. At least with irresponsible politics on either Fox News or MSNBC, there is a place to go for the counter point. Here it seems like once ESPN takes a position, facts be damned, everyone runs with it.
 
Just the fact that he went from the lunch room to a hospital is bizarre.
 
If I was an employer in any field not just the NFL I would be worried if this person came in looking for employment especially if a huge lawsuit follows in the future.

They cant make the jump and make a diagnosis from that. Could you imagine if they got it wrong, the liability of it? Shattering.

People like to beat up the media because its a convenient target. Its everywhere and nowhere, bias can be accused but never has to be proven. But they have to be really damn careful when it comes to this stuff. Because if they get something like that wrong, Martin could eat them alive. As he should, just like Josh Freeman should eat alive the Bucs for releasing his medical information.

But they can put a voice mail where the end is cut off....you know the part where Richie is laughing and says, "Call me back man" or when Jon Martin played that voice mail to all the players where all the player (Including Martin) were laughing at the message.

The Media have talked about what the part they want to talk about, never ever straying away to the other side of the story and risking fans actually starting to wonder if maybe the true problem is coming from the Martin camp and not from Cogs.

Using the N word is inexcusable no matter if it's a joke, but the atmosphere seems to be far from the sinister work environment that the media, Jon's Lawyer, or his Harvard lawyer parents are trying to make it out to be.
