I don't get it. If I under perform, my boss will ask a senior member of my team to shadow me and get me up to speed.

So why would this order be a bad thing? Did they ask Cogs to beat him, insult him, bully him? Or did they ask him to toughen him up, as in make him stronger, meaner,...tougher?

Am I missing something?

We live in a different world now my friend. I can remember my college basketball coach waddling his fat @ss over to me and screaming and spitting in my face because I screwed up. You can't do that now. We live in a nation where everyone is special, everyone's feelings count, and everyone gets a trophy for trying their hardest.

I may have an issue with how Cogs approached it but I have no issue with the coaches going to players and telling them to get teammates on the ball.

The thing is if they knew he had emotional or mental issues they should have known better.

You're absolutely right. Everyone gets trophies for trying and if they don't, they complain and will get a trophy for complaining. What a world this has become.

I used to play soccer when I was a kid and our coach would not allow us to eat fries or drink Coke on gamedays. Not a big deal 20 years ago. Just imagine someone would dare do this to his players today...

Because the "PC Police" feel that every workplace needs to follow the same rules and standards. They don't understand that every workplace is a whole different world. Chad Johnson slapped his lawyer on the butt in a courtroom, and that was seen as totally unacceptable. But, slapping another player on the butt after a good play in front of millions of TV viewers is perfectly acceptable.

Two reasons, One is they asked the one guy who is being accused of bulling to bully this guy....The guy they asked has a history of being a bully....If they would have told Wake to beat on this guy during practice no one would care about the code red, they told another OL who has a history of making bad decisions, getting suspended, kicked off teams, and voted the dirtiest player in the league to harass this guy day and night....the guy couldn't take it....who do you blame?

This part of the story has nothing to do with being a wussy or pc police...its common sense......

If you give a chimp a gun and the chimp shots someone, you don't blame the chimp......Miami is in big trouble if Richie confirms the code red.....

Who cares? Cut both players, fire everyone, and move on.

Nobody involved is good enough, or important enough to this organization that we can't just scapegoat them all, wash our hands, and find replacements.

Oh, you mean this is about doing the right thing? :rotfl1:

The only thing I am still wondering about is if they take away draft picks or not.

I would have quit on the spot, my friend....lol

Yes, you're missing something.

The order to "toughen him up" isn't bad in and of itself. The problem comes in picking a player to perform the task who has an established history of having boundary issues, and then when the boundaries get crossed, the team feigns ignorance about the problem, the potential for which they should have been aware of from the onset.

And that's not a shot at Incognito. Incognito is what he is. It's not like he came to Miami and changed into a schmuck; he was a schmuck all the way back when he played for Nebraska and has been a schmuck at every stop along the way. We knew what he was when we signed him. The problem lies in signing a guy like Incognito without having guys that can counterbalance and overshadow Incognito's negatives. Ireland's poor personnel management created a situation where Incognito could assume a leadership role unchallenged. That situation had disaster written all over it.
