I understand Tannehill and Wake, but Trusnik?? That dood sucks. Who the hell picks the captains? Philbin?

Being a captain isn't about being the best player on the field. It's about being a leader and a person that the players and coaches can depend on.

Would you rather we have captains like Incognito and Pouncey?

What is wrong with Trusnik? He may not be the greatest player, but perhaps he is a leader and sets a good example for his teammates.

better hope misi stays healthy cause from where i'm sitting it sure looks like trusnick is the only other mike option this team has...or at least he's the plan b one...and it will get ugly if that happens...really ugly

Well Ellerbe was plab B but he went on IR, so Trusnick is actually plan C. I cant fault the organization for not having a viable plan C at MLB.

Regardless of Trusnick's poor LB play, he has been good on ST and is worth of being ST captain.

when ellerbe was healthy it was trusnick getting the back up mike looks and not him...although i do think ellerbe would have been in play there if it was warranted

I dont recall seeing him on the field much against the Raiders, GB and the Bears.... And thats the way it should be.

Seems to me that the Mike, Sam, and Will designations have pretty much gone out the window with Coyle. It's been mostly match ups, and 2 LB's with 5 DB's for the majority of D snaps. No?

playing mostly nickle and little base thus 2 lbs on the field more...subpackage and nickle primarily...jenkins only guy staying on the field for every play...

Yeah, last game Jenkins was in for all 54 snaps and Misi for 38. Wheeler and Trusnick in for 11, and McCain for 8. Thomas was in the mix for 26, and Taylor for 19.

I have seen more and more teams going this route, even an their base D.

trusnicks run was mostly poa strength goalline work although he did get run right over on the forte td run...that's about the only work he'd get for me in the defense...some short yardage goalline d on early downs vs jumbo personnel etc...

they mixed the snaps up in a good way this week...misi and jenkins playing the most...just need to get teams in more 3rd and longs and can bring in mccain more for his package...which regardless of the actual stat production it has produced to date is a terrific one...
