Ok, so i dont post much. Im not a Miami Dolphins encyclopedia like some of you. My posts usually consists of nothing that adds to many of the posts on here. But im a diehard DOl- Fan and i support this site with my VIP subscription. So please be easy on me when i ask this question.

Why has there been movies about football that have no real importance than that of the 72 Dolphins. Theres a movie about a bum in a bar who returned kicks for the Eagles but no blockbuster about the greatest team in the history of the game! I just dont get it! Could you imagine how great that movie would be? I know this is kinda lame to bring up as a topic on a forum, and its probably posted in the wrong room, but I would love to see it! I would love to see who they would cast to play all the players: merc, larry, manny, don, kuech, yarprinannn ( check spelling) and others! It would especially be great if they could do it in the offseason when theres nothing really that fun to read during May/June!

Ok, ill stop now. Please dont tear me apart!

Does anyone on this board have some connections in Hollywood? We might have a winner here!

We've discussed this before. The reason there is no movie is because we weren't a CInderella Story. We were in the Superbowl the year before. WHat the Giants did last year has a better chance to become a movie. The only people who would watch are dolphin fans.

There's no movie about the '72 Dolphins because they couldn't find anyone to play Csonka correctly. No actor wanted to have his nose broken 12 times to achieve accuracy in their portrayal.

Actually, although there is no movie about the 72 Phins, there is a movie in development about a member of that team. Marlin Briscoe. I write for another Dolphins web site and I know that Matt prefers that we do not post links to those sites, so instead I will direct you to the movie web site.

www.MarlinBriscoeMovie.com

The movie is based on his life and it is very interesting to say the least. I had an opportunity to speak with Marlin a few weeks ago for a series of articles on the subject and interviews. Next week I will be talking with actor John Beasley who is involved in the film. It is a very good story and of course the 72 Phins was a part of it.

3 words = No Name Defense

The Doomsday Defense
The Orange Crush
The Steel Curtain
The Fearsome Foursome
The Purple People Eaters
The Sack Exchange

No movies about those "named" defenses. Although the Steel Curtain i guess was in Heaven Can Wait and Doomsday Defense making a cameo in Invincible.

George Clonny=Don Shula The chin!!!

Mark Cuban=Joe Robbie

etc. etc.

Will be the 1st person to spend 12 bucks 4 a tic.

Whoever that guy is who plays the receiver that cant catch in "The Replacements" should play Mercury Morris.

1. It would not make any money
2. Jason Taylor would demand a role in the film
3. It would be BORRINGGGGGGGGG
4. Outside of a few stragglers and some sweet n low bandits, no one would care.
