Last night I had posted a thread insisting it should be WR, but now I've done a 180 degree u-turn... now first, let me preface by saying that you don't take an O lineman at all costs, but given equal players at different positions, our O line is more needy, along with greater upside.
The reason I say this is because I was researching the Pro Bowl roster, and at WR only 4 of the 8 guys were 1st round picks. Same deal with CB's, 4 of 6 1st round picks, others in round 2 or 3... also keep in mind we got Sam Madison and Pat Surtain in the 2nd round. But the key here is 100%of starting tackles in this years Pro Bowl are 1st round picks. If we could find an anchor at LT for the next 10 years, we've gotta do it. It will help each of our skill position guys that much more... not to mention, history and this years pro bowl show that most top-flight, starting LT's are found in the first round of the draft, within the first couple LT's taken!
(Also, don't say, "but what about so-and-so drafted in round 4 in the 2002 pro bowl?" Of course there are exceptions, but this seems to be the general pattern for LT's, and best way to get a pro bowl guy)
