Based off of that definition, the Miami Dolphins have plenty of X-factors, but the most underrated is linebacker Jelani Jenkins.

The Dolphins are thin at the position as it is, with Jenkins starting as the weak-side linebacker alongside middle linebacker Koa Misi and strong-side linebacker Chris McCain. Behind them is a mixture of replacement-level players and undrafted free agents, as the Dolphins didn't seek out the position in the draft.
Jenkins and his play were a major reason for this, as in 2014 he recorded 110 tackles, 3.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and a pass deflection in 15 games (14 starts).
That same performance will be needed out of him in 2015, and he's certainly the man to do it.

He was excellent last year. Having big DTs in front of him should only make him better

The Article's URL / Title says Dion Sims, but the article is about Jenkins..............sounds like some real high quality insight going on

If he makes a similar jump this year that he did from year 1 to year 2, he's going to be on the verge of being an All Pro. At the end of last year, the defense was so torn apart that I'd imagine it was hard making plays while also picking up the slack from the inexperienced/unskilled players that had to suit up next to him. I'm really excited to see Jelani in action.

I don't believe Koa Misi is that bad when healthy contrary to popular beliefs on this board. Jenkins might even benefit more playing alongside a healthy Koa Misi.

It's not that a lot of us think he's BAD, it's just that he's out of position. MLB isn't for him. But as a player, we could do much, much, MUCH worse. like Trusnik or Wheeler

I think Misi is mediocre when healthy. Unfortantely, he isn't dependable from a health standpoint. Mix in the fact he's playing out of position, and we can all admit we need an upgrade at MLB badly. Frankly, I would like to upgrade him at OLB too, but that would just be a luxury at this point. We really need to start finding and developing some LBs in the draft next year.
