First, A. Boldin is the perfect #1 WR for Chad Pennington. Why? Simple. Boldin compliments Pennington's style.

Boldin's forte is being QB friendly, making intermediate catches, and adding yards after catch...an area we were at the bottom half of the league in.

Boldin of course can catch the "throw it up in the air" bomb as well, making him a redzone threat....exactly what Parcells signed Wilford to be.

So complimenting Ginn Jr with A. Boldin, with a QB friendly duo of Camarillo and Bess as your slot guys make for a perfect WR corps for Chad Pennington to enter the 2009 season with to defend the AFC EAST CHAMPIONSHIP.

The question isn't do we have the cap space/money to give Boldin the contract he soooooooo much deserves...it is what will it take to aquire him. And can Parcells do it without hurting our draft?

I believe if anyone can, it's Parcells.

Parcells was able to aquire a 2nd round pick and a 7th rounder for Jason Taylor....at 34 years old!

Parcells was able to aquire Akin Ayodele and Anthony Fasano for the 4th round pick he aquired for Lorenzo Booker!

And he aquired a starting NT in Jason Ferguson for 2 6th round picks, one of which he ended up getting back by signing the player picked by DAL off of their practice squad!

Well, last April, reports have come out that 3 teams offered ARI a late 1st round pick for Aquoine Boldin. Hmm?

We pick at #25 in the first round, but have two 2nd round picks. Could Parcells send the #25 pick and say our 3rd round pick to ARI for Aquoine Boldin and ARI's 2nd round pick?

This would be like drafting AQuoine Boldin at #25 and move our 3rd round pick into the 2nd round, giving us three 2nd rounders!

I'd say something like that, would be worth it. Not saying "that" exactly, but Parcells could do some type of deal where though, we give up our 1st round pick, we basically just trade "down" in order to come away with our #1 WR that can highlight Pennington's skills.

I'd say go for it.

Now, we'd still have the #44 pick, ARI's 2nd rounder, and our 2nd rounder to find depth at LB, DB, and either NT or C, depending on which one we add via FA. Then, we'd still have our 4th round pick to add Pat White (according to reports is on Parcells agenda in the 4th round)...and we may still add a pick or so via a small trade like Satele or Roth or something like that and maybe a compensatory pick or so.

....and of course, we are going to upgrade via FA...

I'd say, go for it! I mean, who is so great at #25 that is so much better than what is going to be available at #44?

If we are going LB? I think LBs are still available at pick #44 that are just as good as pick #25. Why? Because the top 15 best players in the country are going to be long gone by pick #25.

Where I think adding this guy would be absolutely incredible I think your off a bit on the value of the trade. We have to assume the least they would want is what Dallas gave up for R.Williams a 1st and 3rd, but I still would argue Boldin is alot better then Williams and I think alot of teams would be interested therefore driving up the price.

No more trades unless you can get extreme value for little cost. Look at the building blocks Miami got out of its last draft. We need to keep doing this. No quick fixes.

Well, it would be better to draft a receiver with that 25th pick, since he would command a much lower salary than Boldin. Of course, you're gambling then.

I don't think WR is a big priority in this team. Fix the defense first, then we'll talk WR.

Boldin's not a quick fix, he's a long term player that brings talent you only dream about drafting.

I'm not interested in trading picks but if somehow this what BP would want to do I'm in.

I love Boldin as we could definitely use a WR with his size, hands, speed and jumping ability. I like Ginn, Camarillo and Bess, but Boldin is a clear #1 WR and he would make our offense so much better. If the price wasn't too high I would love to see him in a Phin's uniform.

As much as I like Boldin, the price is huge, and I like the draft picks we have.

I'd love to have him: a true team player who could be the 3rd or 4th best receiver out there and certainly worth a premium. I agree the present gold standard for elite WRs is the kitchen sink that Jones paid for Roy Williams. And then there was Snider who allegedly offered 2 firsts for Chad Johnson preseason. I don't see those options as being feasible for a team that continues to be rebuilt from the bedrock up but can foresee some other team stepping up and giving them what they want.

I would love to have him on this team, but it hurts every single time I hear his name how we drafted Eddie Moore ahead of him...:boohoo:
