Will Allen will turn 31 yrs old by the start of the season, and this is the last year of his contract.

Andre Goodman will turn 31 yrs old by the start of the season, and he is a FA.

We have Jason Allen and Nathan Jones under contract. Are they both Will and Andre's eventual replacement?

Sparano also mentioned when he stated that you can't have enough OL and DL....he also stated or enough CBs....

Looks like we will be adding a CB via the first two rounds...
 
We will spend considerable time upgrading DB & LB this year ... not forgetting shortfalls on the OL, and tweaks on the DL .... but the 'back 9' on D needs the most attention. In fact, i believe all 3 day 1 picks will be LB or DB.

WR will be addressed in some fashion in free agency, i don't believe it will be hit during the draft.
 
Both Will Allen and Andre Goodman have been good at times, but not consistent throughout the season. Jason Allen still has scorch marks from what Randy Moss did to him at Dolphins Stadium. It's time to go get a shutdown corner IMO.
 
I can see where you are coming from, I don't know if their will be a decent pick for us for the pick we have.

Malcom Jenkins? Taylor Mays? Vonte Davis? I doubt they make it to us.

maybe we should wait for a second round talent and take a Percy Harvin type player instead in the first. Idk, I'm bad at mock drafts
 
Nah, we need to keep developing the front 7 on defense and get a FS. This safety class is deep as hell. We also gotta work on this OLine. I definitely put CB over WR . . . but its not stronger than C, OT (especially if Carey leaves), FS, OLB, ILB (especially if Crowder leaves) and NT.

Finish the trenches this year . . . on both sides of the ball. Next draft, get the skill guys. The only skill position that should be drafted early is FS . . . there is ALOT of depth at safety in the first 3 rounds (especially rounds 2 and 3). . . we need to get one.

A successful first 3 rounds for Miami would IMO include a FS, C, NT and a OLB. Although we can't disregard BPA either . . . if a guy like Vontae Davis slips to us in round 1 . . . and we are high on him . . . I doubt we can overlook him.
 
I would Love a Vontae Davis but I don't think he would get past Minnesota. If He does slip to us I would consider that a steal.

D.J. Moore from Vanderbilt is a considered choice but Idk if he would be the first round talent worth our pick at that point. Knowing parcells though I could definately see a Linebacker taken or the trenches glanced at. I'm just say that we should'nt over look the other talent out there.

I like DJ Moore . . . and I think we are in a position similar to last year . . . take the BPA in a position of need. G/C/OT/CB/FS/ILB/OLB/NT/WR all qualify as needs. Who ever we have rated the highest on the board that addresses one of those needs . . . we need to grab. This team needs more overall talent.

Thinking like that, I can see a guy like Raji, William Moore or Brandon Spikes . . . or one of the high rated OLB's slipping to us and being the highest rated guy left . . . I just don't see Jenkins or Davis falling . . . and DJ Moore wouldn't be the BPA I wouldn't think.
 
Position Draft Rankings out yet??

Speaking of all this Draft stuff already is getting me pumped for April!! Do we have any links to start to get a feel for the talent that will be available for this years draft?? Rankings at positions?? ETC..... I know this is supposed to be a deep draft for receivers that bodes well for us!!
 
Speaking of corners, what ever happened to J. Allen. He has a bad game V the Pats and hasn't been heard from since. I heard rumors that he had fallen from grace with the coaching staff. Does anybody know?
 
i think that given the fa market we could go more dbs in fa. duante robinson, otogwe and byrant mcfaden are all fa. i think we gotta go d line in the draft regardless, get younger and better. if we cant stop the run it doesnt matter who are cbs are because we will be run on all game just as it doesnt matter who is in our secondary if we cant apply pressure. the league is structured for qbs to look good and score, it is easier to pressure him than to defend wr fro extended periods of time while the qb is relaxed in the pocket
 
what we really need is a big stud tackle someone who can clog the middle as well as push those interior linemen back .the lineman we have now is alright but lacks that power to push upfront,and in a 3-4 scheme you need meat upfront and if there is no meat there is no pressure, the run defence would be a problem .
 
We need William Moore. He would be amazing.
 
We can take a good CB in the 2nd like LIndley,MIckens,Butler,Alphonso SMith,Victor Harris. ANy would be great additions. But I really Like MARK PARSON from Ohio who many think plays like Champ Bailey. He is a true shutdown CB. And DOminique Johnson From Jackson State is compared to Asomugha. He is a shutdown CB who excels in man coverage. Both should be available in the 3rd maybe 4th rounds. I would be very pleased if we took both of them with our 3rd and 4th round picks. If not I would like to take Will Moore in the 1st if hes ava. Or even Myron Rolle in the 2nd if he declares

i like dominique johnson in the third a lot, regardless of what FA we sign at CB let him lear and get acustumed to the game i think he could be big time. unforunatley i think his stock will rise and be taken too early for us
